Punch a hole in the fat end of the egg with a tack or large needle. Lower eggs gently into rolling boil water. 8 minutes later remove them and put them in an ice water bath.

The first batch of cucumbers has come and gone. The second planting is at the third leaves stage. Tomatoes have set by the many dozens, but the first harvest was today,

From there simmer until you reduce by a third. What will be left will be intense, nearly salt free, and so good.

I wrote this over 10 years ago, but updated it within the last year. Maybe you will find it useful.

Somewhere around 2008, I caught one on a Zara Spook. The bait wasn't much shorter then the fish.

Take a goodly portion of bones and cartilage from your preferred species and put them in a pan and put them in a 350 oven until the sinew turns dark brown. Put the bones and cartilage in a pot. Break the long bones first. Cover the bones with water and add 1/2 onion (unpeeled), one carrot, one celery stick, one clove garlic, a bay leave, a sprig of thyme, a brush of parsley, and, if you have it, some white parts of a leek. Simmer just under boiling for half a day or over night. Skim the froth and fat cap. If you are working with fish, include the cheek, head, and eyes, but eliminate the gills. Also 2 hours max. To sound cool, call it fume.

For smaller keitechs, try this. I find them difficult to beat. https://nutechlures.com/index.php/naked-head/3-16oz-proseriesnujignakedhead.html

I just epoxied the thread on my new bait casting crank bait/finesse jig rod. I also hook set via reeling and leaning into the fish, something I learned from Babler discussing Beck. Details: https://www.mudhole.com/MHX-CB843-Blend-Blend-Rod-Blank?fragment=/MHX-CB843-Blend-Blend-Rod-Blank

What army eats with all of you? I am working to learn how to make two person meals and all of you are feeding hoards, Grill burgers, fresh corn, and grilled squash.

Thank you for sharing.

And if you want, you can keep going until it becomes the Black River and follow that to the White River below Batesville. Now that would be a trip.

Main course: smoked bratwurst with onions and burst tomatoes with a balsamic finish, served over cheesy yellow corn grits. Dessert: Free form fresh peach tart.

We, the residents here in garden homes, were planning to have a Saturday evening , socially distanced, outdoor, 4th of July grill party. I made tabouli and Lebanese steakhouse style hummus. This morning we received a notice the six employees tested positive and contact tracing had begun. They closed, again, the public dine in facilities. This spooked our prospective attendees. We all agreed to cancel. I had already made a huge batch of tabouli and a batch of Lebanese steakhouse style hummus. The wife and I spent the afternoon delivering portions to our neighbors. Tonight we will have pork tenderloin, tabouli, and hummus.

Interesting task. I would start with sherry and unseasoned rice vinegar, soy, fish sauce, garlic, a touch of oyster sauce, chili oil and several drops of sesame oil, and corn starch.

Raise your hands and dance. In a couple years they will be worth the trouble. I tried to look it up on line. It appears the Meramec has a natural spawn, and I found this at a web site called family outdoors: https://www.family-outdoors.com/missouri-walleye-fishing

In Norman, while I was at law school, Sunday breakfast was two inchys looking at you. Two cheese enchiladas with red sauce and two sunny side up eggs. You would see the frat boys bringing in the pledges after a Saturday house party. It was like a rite of passage. From time to time, one of the young men needed to run out the door. Provided you weren't hung over, it wasn't a bad breakfast.

I honestly do not know.

With wife concurrence (I hope you all have been or will be so lucky as to find a wife like her) I am going to do the Garmin Foce with the Echomap UHD 9" side view.

I post this in TR rather than elsewhere, as the most likely source of feedback is here. When I moved to Tulsa, I was afraid the time required to travel to and back to the lake would mean the end of fishing. 45 - 50 minutes to the lake makes 6:00 AM launches difficult for me. I contemplated selling my boat. Once I was here a bit and the current problems came up, fishing may be the only way I can have fun outside of the community I live. However, boats always have something wrong with them, unless Wrench just finished them, and even then, give it a month. Currently, my TM is kaput. In Oklahoma wind, a good TM with excellent spotlock is a must. I have used an Ulterra since early 2015. Now it stays on my bow as a large chunk of weight. So here are the questions. Do I do the Garmin Force/UltraEchomap on the boat or do I wait for the Lowrance Ghost, 60 inch shaft, to come out who knows when? Do I put $4500k on a five year old 15K boat? Do I run, naked, through Skiatook, Oklahoma disguised as the stay puff man? What do you think?
