  1. Very nice! What size line are you using? Leader?
  2. Looks like about 8 mill net worth. Not sure about the actual account.
  3. Possum kabobs!
  4. I don't necessarily disagree with your premise Joe. Im not a fan of food contests in that taste is subjective. But I do understand and appreciate all that is involved and think it's blast to do. There are many flaws with the judging but I know of no alternative. But I think we can all agree, gas has no place in BBQ.
  5. Got my favorite smoker fired up today. Brisket, Spam, bacon wrapped jalapeño's. Time to enjoy a cool beverage and spend some time with the kids. I apologize in advance for the cock-eyed photos.
  6. Yep. For a years membership and about 3 hours, your in.
  7. I don't know how many sandwhiches you guys eat, but thin slices of radish take the WOW factor to 11!
  8. Would y'all just hang on a minute! Im not done reminiscing about the Salisbury steak!
  9. Salisbury Steak?? That is the one and only TV dinner I liked as a kid, and adult!
  10. First off, that's 2 words. And second, if it were that simple, there would be no deaf people.
  11. One show I've never watched a second of. And I've never seen a second of the Walking Dead either.
  12. Just happen to run across this. I thought how odd after reading all of this crap.
  13. There's more crawdading action here than a Mitch craw on the Meramec.
  14. Naw, leave it. It adds to it to me. It's hard to get acclimated to the elevation in a short time.
  15. Hard to beat some high range fishing. Even if you ain't fishing and just taking it all in.
  16. Looks like someone didn't pay attention in science class.
  17. Here is what it boils down to. The time honored standard measurement of a fish has been its weight not length. 99% of bass tournaments are won and lost by the weight of a fish not the length. At the bottom or on the back of old pictures was always the weight of a fish. Rarely was the length mentioned. All fish records, whether World or State or what have you, are by weight. There are no records that I know of that are judged by length over weight. But now since we can't catch one of that weight, we want to change the standard of measurement. We want to move it from the weight of the fish, which is now apparently minuscule and hardly worth mentioning, to the length of the fish. Because we can catch long fish we just can't catch fat fish. So let's change the standard. And it all circles back to, can the Ozark streams produce the world class fish that you all salivate over? If not, simply change the standard of measurement.
  18. Try throwing them on the smoker. One of two ways. Either a hot smoker, grill works too, or cook indoors then transfer to smoker for a couple of hours or so. Puts a whole new dimension on the dish.
  19. I think its the fish they smell. Most people think they are attacking when in reality they are smelling a food source.
  20. Still plenty of Horny Toads in SW OK.
  21. Maybe it is and you guys are just starting to figure that out.
  22. I used to do a lot of carp fishing when I was younger. Just like you, we'd bait up a hole and hang on. Sometime it's fast and furious. Sometimes it's nap time.
  23. Hog....whatever..... it's on the long list. Too many others in line ahead it right now. I've never doubted it had great fish in it. It's funny that for years and years all we heard was how the spots decimated the smallmouth. How the giggers cleaned out the large smallmouth every winter. How the poachers kept every smallmouth the caught. I stood against those arguments and it made me the crazy guy that had no clue what he was talking about. And then you came along a proved everything I was saying. The fish are there. Not in massive numbers, never have been never will be, but they are there. You just keep doing what you are doing. A lot of people are giving you two thumbs up and laughing on the inside.
  24. Uh oh! sorry if they're twisted
