  1. Anybody have a update on water conditions mid gravois/lower end?
  2. It has been brutal tough. Someone will figure them out, always do. I have no suggestions but watch out for the floaters!
  3. Found some around Truman today. The sun is what we needed.
  4. Impressive! Congrats
  5. I will be bringing my 20 ft bass boat to Big Cedar next week. I have two girls. Age 3 and 5. They both have fished many crappie trips and can handle being in the boat for a half day somewhat easy. (somewhat) I haven't been on Taney since I was a kid. Most of my mornings will be fishing for Green fish on the Rock. I was going to try to take the family over for a "trout trip." I was needing suggestions on time of day to bring them, best launch coming from big cedar, and any other suggestions that you guys/gals have. I used to stay at Lilly's landing when I was a kid. Vaguely familiar with that area but it has been ALOT of years since then. I have the Maps from Lilly's landing (Thank you sir) Can't wait just to have a week off and enjoy the Ozarks. Appreciate the help in advance.
  6. Wrench, I didn't go but I am debating on fishing the dirty water or heading up to tail waters of Truman. I was on a good bite before the rain but I think I need the clear water. Either way going fishing is a win in my book.
  7. Anybody been up in Gravois since all the rain. Indian creek was on fire before all the rain. Thinking of sneaking out later this week.
  8. Bump. I am lost as well.
  9. Anybody have any current conditions? Weather Sunday looks perfect. Time to get the boat out!
  10. I chase the green ones once in a while. We need some CURRENT. They are barley letting any water out according to website. When its this hot with no current makes it tough for me. Only advise is big worm on big timber 10-18 ft.

    Truman?

Anybody have any advice on a bass bite? Struggling!!!!
  12. Someone always finds em!
  13. No I was out Sunday. But yes I fished in that area. Appreciate the help. Will try to sneak out again soon. Nice to see some info on the Truman page!
  14. Ranger, Are you fishing points or bluffs? Also, if you dont mind sharing the depth you are jekbaiting. I fished mainlake areas around the Dam on Sunday with a LC100 pointer for 6 hrs and not a tap.
  15. Thanks Mr. Babler, you are always helpful with the Rock. Wish we had someone on Truman as forthcoming as you.
  16. Have a 1/2 day TR trip open up tomorrow. Staying at Big Cedar looking to stretch my line a few times. Any suggestions on something close. I'm a Truman rat so that 100 ft deep stuff is all new to me! Thanks for any help!
  17. Sorry guys this white stuff has kept me busy! Apprecite all the feedback. I will be at lake fork in march so I am thinking the april trips may be the way to go. Thankms again and I will ask for more tips when it gets closer!
  18. Guys, I am always reading on here but don't make many comments. My accountant/boss/wife says I can go to the Rock for a 5 day fishing trip. I can go anytime from now through May. I prefer not to sight fish. Why and when would you guys go? Thanks for the help and guys have a nice thing going with this forum at the Rock. I wish we could get something similar for Truman/LOZ. GO PACK!
  19. I've made it down to Fork for a week the last 13 yrs. Ranging from mid-Feb until end of March. The one thing I will promise you is it will be VERY crowded on the weekend and very busy during the week. I see lots of smaller boats. One day you will have 35+ winds and next day slick. Just don't go on the main lake with the strong winds. There is a ramp in LITTLE mustang at The Tackle Factory (Joe Spaits Spoon) no matter how strong the wind is you can fish in the back of little mustang. It will be crowded but you will find a area to fish. Also IF not very windy put in by Glade and you can go back in Glade and fish out of the wind or long branch is the other direction and is always out of the wind With a smaller boat you will have some areas those big boys can't get in. I wouldn't put in on the main lake and venture to far away b/c if that wind comes up, it gets rough in a hurry. I don't know why but that lake just flat gets rough compared to around here. As far as sites Texas Fishing Forum is by far the best. I know you will laugh but you really only need one bait. Zoom super fluke. Watermelon and watermelon! (some people use watermelon red) Throw it weightless in SHALLOW water over grass and just leave it (deadstick) Don't move it. Reel it in and do it again. If it is windy tie on a light c-rig and fish the fluke SLOW! Good luck and eat at MOSERS! my oh my the pie!
  20. Speaking of Truman. Have any of you guys with the SI unit's been on truman? I'm curious if the images are much the same? I have a guy who told me that there was "so much cover" on the bottom of truman it all lookd the same? I don't have any "imaging" at the moment but can see that I may be driving around more than fishing!
  21. Are the video's from the past Archived? I look forward to seeing the new video.
  22. Wow! thanks for sharing! Hope to see more.
  23. Lake Fork Marina is only place to stay! have a launch, nice tackle store, and a dock. Best of all they have Moser's resturant at the resort (My oh My the Pie)! I don't know exactly when you are going but they do have some 4 person cabins but they fill fast. March is very busy on Fork so plan most of your fishing during the week if at all possible. Call ASAP because they will probably be full, just get on the waiting list. Good luck!
  24. Where are you guys buying your McSticks?
  25. I'm accounted for!
