War Eagle Spinnerbaits are fish catchers for sure, right up till the the wire breaks on the kicker you've been hunting all afternoon. I've lost more fish on War Eagles breaking the wire than any other bait I've used. Wish Gayle would start making his own baits again.
Fished this rig around docks back in the 90's,when I first came back to Missouri, just using a small nail for weight, Since then I've kind of got out of the habit of using it, and moved of to other methods..
For 60 bucks you can get a cheap snowmobile suit, be warm and able to move. I've never been able to be comfortable when layering, nothing fits right when I layer.
A good cleaning and re-lube would have probably cleaned up the whining. Shimano is notorious for greasing bearings on new reels that really just need good oil..
Fished in and around Aunts creek yesterday daylight till about noon with a buddy, man was it cold early. Caught a mixed bag, of all three bass species on Rogues. Wind with ledge rock close to channel swings seemed to be the key. Biggest was 3 1/2 -4 lb largemouth.
Had a great time, good to put faces on a few of the names. Thanks to all that furnished the outstanding food and drinks. Hope to make this at least an annual event. Almost forgot thanks for Bo for the Nutec jigs, will be giving them a try.
I'd certainly like to meet some of you but my boat is not ready to fish yet this year. I'm afraid intermittent electrical problem is gonna leave me stranded or blown up.
The "made in America" promotion by Walmart ended with the death of founder Sam Walton. Interesting you mention the small towns having Sears stores. Local legend has it the manager of ours, (back in the day) was in the army with Sam Walton and turned down the opportunity to go into business with him.
Simple truth is as long as we allow "professional " politicians, of either party, to make policy, we'll continue to have the best Congress money can buy.
Like most Micheal Moore articles I can't find facts to back his assertions up. Like the 29 GM plants in Mexico, I found three but they have way more in Canada. By the way, how do you get on the "executive pro staff" of all those organizations?
"There are some really gray areas. A good example are the folks selling used/collectible lures on auction sites. If they do it as a business, and do anything to package the baits, they could owe FET under some interpretations."
Since it's a "manufactures" tax on new items, can't see anyway it would be due again on used items. I'm also fairly certain that this tax has ALWAYS been charged against the "sales price" unlike most other taxes.
