  1. Oh no, say it ain't so! 😁
  2. Even our great culture of freedom has its pitfalls … we get so consumed with having fun and idolizing standout performers (athletes, actors, musicians, etc.) that we fail to fully appreciate those who shine in "less fun" career fields --- i.e., science, medicine, law enforcement, our military, etc. Ultimately, each one of us chooses what we celebrate, but the national media certainly plays a role by glamorizing the "fun folks" and often ignoring other true heroes.
  3. Good to hear. You're the guy to beat in this deal!
  4. Doubt there's a better boat driver in these parts, Mr. Bill. I'd ride with you in any water.
  5. Bill, that Phoenix is as fine a boat as there is on the water. If I was to buy a new boat right now, it would be either a Vexus or a Phoenix. No interest in Ranger now that Johnny has cheapened them. But in all fairness, a lot of those boys get wet because they can't freakin' drive a boat. You know the kind of weather that me and your gal pal like to fish in --- the nastier, the better. And in our 2013 Ranger Z119, which is 19-8, I have NEVER gotten us more than a smidge damp in the roughest water Table Rock, Beaver or even Grand Lake has thrown at us. Not all boat drivers are created equal.
  6. Lance, you can flat out catch those big crappie. I enjoy just looking at the pics.
  7. I wouldn't trade every LM in Florida for what we have here in the Ozarks and the immediate surrounding area. Gorgeous scenery, great numbers of all 3 bass species, and an ever-growing walleye fishery for culinary enjoyment. God has blessed us richly.
  8. Good info. Thanks, Fishrman.
  9. Way to hang in there. Sounds like everything is starting to stir. If we could ever get some consistently warmer days and nights, those main-lake fish will start moving toward the pockets for their annual "piece of tail." 😁
  10. Another month tops … if the weather cooperates.
  11. And he didn't need an A-rig to do it.
  12. Thanks for the report and great job, especially after the layoff!
  13. Always good to weigh a limit this time of year. Congrats. The A-riggers' time to shine won't last much longer.
  14. Donna and I won't stay anywhere else. Owners Basil and Nancy Ellis are top-notch folks. There's even a private ramp shared with Cedarwood Resort in the back of Fisher Creek. Can't beat the price.
  15. That 5-inch Yamamoto Super Grub in plain ol' green pumpkin is hard to beat this time of year.
  16. You shush, old man. 😂🤣
  17. I went to Home Depot, got some nylon-sheathed cable and some aluminum cable crimps, and made my own. Been working like a charm for 5 years or more.
  18. Good to read a decent jerk bait report. Thanks!
  19. Yep, time to go see if bo will share some of that pretty water with me. 😀
  20. You should trap those hawks and bring them to the lake to add to your weaponry at that super secret boat dock that shan't be named.
  21. You neglected to mention: No spoons, ice jigs or dropshots No fishing deeper than 15 feet Electronics can only be used for navigation -- they must be turned off while fishing.
  22. Count me and Donna in. She will bring a side dish, perhaps potato salad.
  23. Ah, you are correct sir! Surprised that got past my editor's eye. LOL
  24. Beardsley? You went into Beardsley? Did you apply for a permit first from abkeenan?
