Whatever works for you is what you is what you should use. But I gotta ask a question. How in the hell do you break a stick style transom saver. There hasn't been anything ever made that I could break and I don't recall ever having an issue breaking one or the motor ever moving either. Of course I never went far. Just to Mexico 3 or 4 times and Lake Fork 3 or 4 times a year.
I guess I just don't understand why everyone is against the old ones. What does the new style offer that the old ones didn't? I understand you had issues aarchdale, so I don't blame you. But I just don't understand how the others could be better for your boat. Beyond the stuff Wrench states have any of you ever taken a physics class??? I mean the newer designs can't even be considered transom savers since they don't do a thing to take the stress off the transom.
