  1. You should do it. It's going to start getting good.
  2. Yep 70 lbs. and I drag it up and down riffles and it tracks straight and I hoist it over my head all the time to load it on my car and carry it to and from the water. Sorry I don't have anyone available to take a picture right now.
  3. I don't totally disagree with Gavin but a 12 foot 70 lb kayak is much, much easier to load than a 17 foot 70 lb canoe. I mean much easier. Sometimes it isn't all about the weight.
  4. Did a paddle up from an access on Saturday. It was quite a workout for a fat guy in a kayak. Lots of flat shallow water. Lots of walking and towing a boat behind. Fished a bit on the way up and caught only smallmouth on soft plastics. Little over a mile and half up I made the turn and started my journey back to the access. Decided to spend most of my time walking the dog back down but the only walker I had was a Zara Puppy with some hooks in pretty bad shape. I lost some fish, I missed some fish, including a beauty of a largemouth. But it was a good time and well worth the effort.
  5. Dove is good and I've always been a decent shot but I don't hunt them anymore because I hate cleaning the greasy bastards.
  6. You could also say that about any big corporation in America. It's not just a government problem. I work as a training manager for one of these large companies and I see it everyday. The problem is the people at the top are usually just trying to make things better but they have no idea how it impacts their people at the bottom or their customers. And yes, some do not care when they are told.
  7. Or if it was a bass at all. Did you see it? It could have been a big brown.
  8. Wow. Some of you need to relax before you stoke out.
  9. Years ago I caught a nice bass next to a refrigerator on Flat Creek.
  10. Yep, just shy of the 15 inch mark on the paddle.I saw that one before I caught it. It came completely out of the water chasing a dragonfly but missed. Tossed a finesse worm into its spot and he took it immediately. I gotta get a Hawg Trough so I can measure them properly. Not that it matters. I've spent 19 hours in the kayak so far. Not the same as standing in a bass boat but it's still plenty enjoyable. Can't wait for some cooler temps and the big lakes to calm down a bit.
  11. Fished it for a few hours on Sunday. Wanted to be there a lot earlier but it didn't happen. The water was uglier than what it usually is but I did find some interested bass. Plenty of bait right now so it should be a lot of fun when it cools off a bit. Water temp was 82 when I hit the water and and 84.5 when I pulled out. The slot limit seems to work on this lake. Lots of these around.
  12. That's a hard place to fish on foot for sure. Been out there a couple of times in a kayak and that's a much better option that opens up a lot more possibilities and actually allows you to fish those flooded bushes.

    thirsty?

last Martini I had was neon green. It wasn't bad but it has definitely turned into a girly drink. My hair is too short for a man bun and my butt too large for skinny jeans, just bring me a bourbon.

    What's Cooking?

I didn't even care until this. I'm gonna have my mom pickup a roll of quarters at the bank.

Can we go back to the frog leg thing for a minute. What has happened to them? I don't think that there are that many people out chasing them like many years ago. So where did the frogs go?
  16. It's the size of his brain that really caused the problem.
  17. I thought there was a speed limit at night? Guess that doesn't matter on $$LOZ$$
  18. When I grow up I wanna be just like Marty. Minus the skinny and bald part.

    thirsty?

I like some Four Roses. Mine weren't any any particular order. And they are not all I like. Just 5 that if you handed me one I would have a smile on my face.
  22. Thanks Mr. and Mrs. BH. That was awesome. I wish my wife was interested in a vacation like that. Maybe some day.
