  1. To me yes. I like them both but catch better fish out of the Gasconade.
  2. I'm totally against screwing with anyone's pay unless it's the turds at the top. You let them start cutting the fat from the people that are out there making it happen and next they could be restricting marine repair pay. If those vehicles were "sold" to them as part of their pay then they deserve it and you can't take it away. Yeah maybe they make enough to buy their own transportation but that would be taking a cut in pay. I have a company car and I could go buy my own tomorrow. But that would take some of my income so I would be making less. Plus I don't have to worry about tires or maintenance or gas or insurance, nothing. And I can drive it anywhere I want. But it was part of my deal. So if driving those trucks was part of their deal then you can't take it away. You could, but why be a dick to the people that are trying when there is plenty of waste somewhere else. And as long as Noppadol Paothong is getting fair market value for his pictures who freaking cares. It's pennies when you compare it to something like Elk.
  3. Stockton has always been a great lake with little attention no matter what. I don't think this will change anything. Those people that swarm lakes like flashy lights.
  4. I thinks it's no different than any other city. It's no different than Springfield that's for sure. We live in a nice neighborhood in a good part of town but my daughter's school bus still stops at a motel every morning to pick kids up.
  5. Or worse yet we just pay to house them comfortably for the rest of their lives. They should be treated no differently than a viscous dog. We should be planning the funeral of this guy rather than the court date.
  6. I agree but I can't seem to find any time. I can't seem to stay out of a basketball gym or archery range or staying up late to build new arrows for kids that are hard on arrows or drive to Neosho because another forgot her cheer shoes. But I did stop by the local Hobby Lobby & Tackle to pick up some balsa for a project that we talked about.
  7. Not a single googly eye = awesome
  8. Not that much. Except with some gel coats you can actually be more aggressive.
  9. Been a while since I tried a Meat Whistle. I need to tie up a bunch. I think they would make a better representation of a craw.
  10. Yeah you can do a lot of different things for the tail. I'm not trying to mimic a craw dad so I like that simple tail. I've also tried a strip of rabbit and squirrel but it really weighs it down when wet.
  11. That's some that I made up but I like it pretty hairy.

    What's Cooking?

    That looks delicious.
  13. So I promised Amery I would do a SBS of the smallie pig. It took me a while but here it is. Pretty simple fly that has really shown great potential. I'm using a 2/0 jig hook. Tie in some dumbbell eyes. I vary the size to keep them as light as possible but still be able to get it down quickly. Select a hackle. Tie the hackle in flat wing style with the shiny side down. Create a dubbing loop and build up the base behind the eyes. Spin up some dubbing. Wrap it. Tie in the legs. Fold them back. Create another dubbing loop. Wrap it up behind the eyes to help hold those legs back. Whip finish in front of the eyes. Trim the legs. Go fish.

    What's Cooking?

Beef tortellini. That will teach those girls not to leave me home alone.
  15. They said wear the fox hat.
  16. Was it this one?
  17. Now that you can make some cash at. I did that on the side for a while back in the day. It's hard work but I made good money doing it.
  18. That's why you have to find more to offer than just the fishing.
  19. That's not true. They listen to anybody that's paying them. The more money you have the better they will listen.
  20. Well just so you know I wasn't bashing you and I almost deleted that because I didn't want it to feel that way. Just wanted to get you thinking about what is the advantage of going with you over somebody else or just alone. It's a tough gig if you want to make some money doing it.
  21. I love it when that happens. That happened when I took my wife to see the Blair Witch Project. It was awesome! And it's happened a few more times with various movies. That's when you really know you have touched someone and created a great movie.
  22. I think people are trying to read too much into it. It's a freaking movie. It wasn't made to turn Kyle into some kind of hero. It was made to make a shitload of money. No different than what they did with Audie Murphy. And that "based on a true story" argument is stupid. Amityville Horror was based on a true story. Fire in the Sky was based on a true story. The Exorcist was based on a true story. So what does this guided river trip entail? I mean what makes a trip with you better than just going at it alone?
  23. I can't afford a Bic pen so I just use my fingers.
  24. Well now you are going to piss off Michael Moore. He hates that movie. Unless the roads are closed on Sunday I'm going fishing. If nothing else I'll get to drive around and hang out with a buddy that I don't get to see very often. I get to see my wife everyday.
  25. I've fished hundreds of days on Pomme and never caught a single one. There are two fish that I stuck that might have been muskie but I never saw them. My dad caught two in the entire time that he fished there. What I'm trying to say is that it isn't something that happens a lot. Oh and Pomme bass still like Rogues just fine, no reason to throw gold at them. Either way it doesn't make it right ad it's illegal. If I go down to taney to catch some rainbows and all I catch is browns is it okay if I toss them up on the bank for the buzzards? They aren't native so what difference does it make.
