I would agree with Trav. It can be a great lake in March but the winds can put you in the hotel for the day. I've always done well fishing rattle traps on those windy and grassy points.

How was iMovie? Just wondered how user friendly that it is.

I use MAGIX Movie Edit Pro for the PC. Mac has iMovie that looks like a very nice program. Both of them the same type thing. You can add the audio file and then add the pics and adjust their length to match the audio. You can also some really interesting transitions between pics or video clips. It takes a little to get used to but you can create some really neat stuff. Here is a video that I did for the Willard JV & Varsity volleyball team.

Pay no attention to Trav. He is just cutting and pasting the incorrect information that he posted before. Way to go Trav, keep mis-informing guys that are trying to learn something so you look better. That's a big help. Both lake are going to be tough with the water temps where they are.

Don't take it wrong, I don't think C & R is pointless. I think the debate that happens all the time on here about it is pointless. After a couple of hundred posts you are still going to do what you feel comfortable with, I'm going to do what I feel comfortable with, and everyone else is going to do the same time. The end result will be that everyone will continue to do what that were doing before except some people will get all personal and attack someone because they don't see things their way..............kind of like what we are doing right now. :lol: I just wish we would get passed some of these silly arguments. If it's legal and it works for you then do it, nobody has a right to say anything to you.

Not always. Granted I spend the majority of my time using some type of surface fly when targeting bass, which is also about 90% of the fishing that I do. Two years ago on the James I was able to position my self up on a bank that was 3 or 4 foot off the water. I front of me were two root wads that had created a nice little pool behind them creating some very still water. I was casting a foam popper into this pool and catching some small bass and goggle eye. As that action slowed I started casting closer and closer to the closest root wad. Every time that I would drag that popper away from the root wad a nice sized spot would follow it out, but never would "take the bait". Only when I started stripping that popper very aggressively did that fish make a move. And it was a big move with a huge water exploding take. I have witnessed the same thing many times over the years. I have also caught many fish by letting a popper dead drift but most of my success has come from stripping it aggressively, a lot faster than most would consider. Not saying your wrong Gavin, but next time your letting that popper drift and nothing is taking it you should try varying your retrieve. You never know what will happen.

That's one of the hardest parts, just getting them used to each other and how they play. I have two playing right now so I know how those team sleepovers go.

I totally agree with Wench and Zack. If you are only fishing slow for bass you are missing a lot of fun. You can't compare fishing a tournament to fly fishing. Those are two extremely different styles of fishing looking for different results.

I was also offended. But heck I've been trying to start my car with a quarter.

I'm going to plan on next week. Hard for me to make it away on a Wednesday. My oldest has volleyball practice on Wednesday nights and if I'm gone the wife has to drag everyone out of the house at 9pm to pick her up. Can't wait until she starts driving, then I can just sit at home and worry all night.

It says on ebay that this rod is "Barley" used. Does that mean you only fished it after a six-pack? Doesn't look like it's going to be mine but I have been driving the price up. My wife is going to kill me.
