I've been using spinnerbaits for at least 40 years and they have always been a favorite. Don't assume less is more. If you have been throwing the small 1/4 ounce baits and not getting anything then you are missing out. Now just like everything else you can get as carried away with different kinds of shapes, heads, blades, as much as you want. I just stick with a few anymore because I know with those I can make it work or use something else entirely that would work better.
Unless it's dark, which is a whole different spinnerbait game, I always use double willow blades. Always 3/8 ounce. Never a trailer unless I absolutely have to. And I should note that these are my thoughts on river spinnerbaiting. If it's on a lake the choices may change.
I like Booyah. Decent quality baits and you can get them anywhere.

And remember, there's a lot more to it than just casting it out there and reeling it in.
