  1. Tuff Stuff works really well. As long as the carpet is in pretty good shape a power washer does a nice job too.
  2. I wish I would have kept up with all the ones I've started. My favorite calculation has always been dollars per fish. Maybe I'll run that for 2019 and see what I come up with at the end.
  3. Not going to lie. I have caught a few out of my office aquarium.
  4. I forgot about that. Saw it at the football game Friday night. It was a big one.
  5. I don't need to know. I probably don't want to know. I could see where it would be nice in the salt, on a tailwater, mexican bass lake. But I already have 10 fingers so I'm good.
  6. Yeah it never made sense to me either. Aren't there some spots outside of the park still? Been awhile since I tried that.
  7. On summer Wednesday’s there are Smallmouth a lot closer.
  8. It's the only time I fish the parks anymore. Going to have to wait until next weekend though.
  9. That's a angle you could definitely take. I have thought about it. But Devan makes a good point too. It all boils down to what you want to consider bigger. LeBron James is 6'8" and weighs 250lbs. So if he was 5'2" and weighed 250 he would be just as good? I know that's a silly analogy. But we have associated fish with weight for so long (tournaments, records, lies) it will be hard for most to move past that. But those Kayak guys are doing it with ZERO issues. Yeah they have some cheaters there too.
  10. Yeah it’s a different way of doing it for sure. Some groups like size to be determined by weight and then some like length. I like length because maybe my 18 inch fish ate a couple of gills right before I caught it and your 18.5 inch fish was out looking for a meal. Mine weighs more but is it really bigger? Am I really better? But I understand the history of weight in tournaments and that’s going to be hard to let go. Especially if you are the one holding the fat 18 incher.
  11. Sounds like a perfect time to go crankbaiting.

    What's Cooking?

When I wandered into Mexico bass fishing I must have ate a thousand tortillas. There was a little Mexican blackbird at the lodge that made the best. I'm not a huge fan of corn but had a guy that worked for me in Houston and he took me to eat at his Mom's one time and she made them and then fried them. She spoke no English but I drank beer, tequila, and talked to her like she did. She just laughed and laughed. She was also kind enough to let me sleep on the couch. I miss those folks.
  13. That sounds like fun.
  14. I use my fingers. And yes I do smell it afterwards.
  15. You've seen me cast. You know I need all the help I can get.
  16. And deodorant will work in a pinch.
  17. Of course I fish dries so much that it probably means nothing to me. Just found my bottle of Gink. Busted lid, bone dry. Been thinking about showing some RR fish my g-gnat. That would require me to tie a few so who knows.
  18. I don't know but I can put it on a g-gnat and that baby will ride high and pretty. When it gets all slimy I can wash it off, squeeze it in between two layers of cotton (the hoodie I'm wearing) lube it back up and ride high and pretty again. But I'm not gooping it on. And if I do get too much it just gets the cotton squeeze again. I don't know but it works. I carry frogs fanny too and it works well.
  19. Not that I fish a lot of dries but I've never had a problem with Gink. If it's all gooped up then you have used too much. Just need a little rubbed in really good to make one float like a cork. Of course the first fish to slime it screws that all up. But I also rotate through flies pretty quick too.
  20. Quit using weight and start using measurement. If it happens when somebody is taking a picture out in the boat it's also happening at the weigh-ins back at the ramp. I've seen fish with worm weights in their bellies. Some people are going to cheat. No matter what you do.
  21. BORING
  22. Southern lakes have a whole lot more going for them than Florida Bass. You aren’t ever going to duplicate that in Missouri.
  23. Roll Tide
  24. Last I heard (a couple of years ago) that program still exists but you don't have to open your pond to the public.
