For the record the pro that front ended me was a good guy. We had an enjoyable time on the water. But again he was upfront with his intentions. He even waited patiently in the boat while I weighed my fish before going to get his truck.
I had a Pro do that while fishing Central Pro Am back in the day. He told me up front how it was going to be and I just adjusted. Threw a grub and a spinnerbait behind the boat all day. I weighed a limit. He did not.
I'm not a baseball fan but I always start paying attention around WS time. I really have no concern who wins but I like to see a severely irritated Cardinals fan as much as the next guy so Go Cubs Go.
I have two dutch ovens. A 7 quart and a 10" camp. The camp DO sees all the work. Many late night gravel bar cobblers and also early morning biscuits. Worth every penny.
I've caught more fish at Fellows but I catch better fish at Springfield. Fellows is better looking water and more of it. And there are different fish to catch. I've caught a couple of small walleye and there is always a chance at a musky.
There are some spots on Stockton that I think would be good out of a kayak. Getting to them is the problem but I've been searching some back roads and trails on Google earth and might give it a try soon.
I still soap in mine and aggressively scrub it on occasion. Hell I even run it through the dishwasher from time to time. But it never loses it's season because I'm constantly adding to it. Cooking a greasy pizza in it occasionally doesn't hurt.
Oh trust me I understand. My wife is not far from that. But she has had some eye opening experiences this year especially with parents pushing too hard and then it's their own child that get's thrown into a horrible situation. Nothing like watching kids explain to their friends that they have to sit out a game or two because the honors class their parent forced them to take is way over their head. It works for some but not for all. I learned early on that my kids got their mother's math skills. No reason for me to force them to take college level math classes in high school.
