  1. Naw, just a little off the top.
  2. I don't really know what that means except that I'm weird.
  3. My daughter has caught a fish on a fly that I tied from her hamster's hair.
  4. Back when I was younger and didn't mind hanging onto a buffer for 6 to 8 hrs, this was the best way. Now depending on the quality of the finish on the boat and your talent level and tools, you can wet sand with a DA sander and make pretty quick work of it. I've made some real turds look very nice before. It's not possible for every boat, but it is possible to do. But It's not easy. Lots of sanding, buffing, polishing and waxing. Good times.
  5. It's no contest, TR wins. LOZ is a great fishing lake but the amount of traffic on it is crazy compared to TR. But TR is doing a pretty good job of playing catch-up. I like them both though because they keep the people that I want to stay away from, away from the really good lakes.
  6. 34 Miles!! Is it do-able? Yes. Is it worth it? No. Especially on some of that seemingly void of life water. I'll be doing 17 miles, on a better flowing river, over three days. And that's a stretch for me. But I do like to screw around a lot.
  7. Picking one up doesn't need to be done at all. They don't like it so why do it. You can use a stick to move it out of the area or just about anything else to chop it's head off.
  8. Big Piney Gasconade Eleven Point Buffalo Anywhere away from the masses.
  9. So if they add a donkey show to the bow fishing tournament weigh in everybody should be fine. Courtesy is a thing of the past.
  10. You can't prove that. I just like the way I can apply it with one instead of the cheap brushes. You get good at what you are used to. I think you should give one to the first hundred responses. If I win I'll trade you something weird for it.
  11. You're doing it all wrong. That's why I wanted to see your SBS. I always form the body before I cut the channel for the the hook or shank. Like your way better. And I never coat the balsa in super glue. Lot of people do and it definitely toughens them up but I need to be able to sand a smoother base for the thin finishes I'm using. Well I probably don't "need" to but I personally have to. I don't like sanding the super glue so I just use spackling instead. Fills all the gaps and imperfections, dries fast, sands easy. Makes a huge mess. I found some small Popsicle style sticks for mixing and applying epoxy. Also use toothpicks when I need just a little in a small area. It doesn't really matter what you use as long as you can get it on there somewhat even. The drying wheel will take care of the rest. The stippling on each scale is badass. I'm stealing that part for sure. Nice job Marty.
  12. Anybody have contact information for this place?
  13. And yes if you leave your belongings laying about then you are partly responsible. Do you leave your TV on your front porch at night?
  14. I never said no punishment. I just don't think the best solution is for everybody to start shooting people wondering around docks at night. That will lead down a bad road. Breaking into someone's home is a lot different than stealing crap off a dock. Go ahead and break into my house and see how long you are still breathing. One things for sure, you will not leave alive. But there is a huge difference in a house and a dock.
  15. Well if you expect this justice system to solve all that then you are stuck in fantasy land. Shooting somebody isn't going to solve anything. You think they are lazy for being a thief, I think you are lazy for not protecting your equipment. You want the problem to go away then you remove the source. It's common sense. But you go ahead and kill somebody for a rod and reel tough guy. That will teach them.
  16. The solution is pretty easy. Don't leave your high priced items on the dock. And secure what you can't move. Once the source dries up they will go someplace else.
  17. It's been that way for years. That's why I hate it and won't return. That river is a little overrated anyways, then you add the jets, no thank you.
  18. The surf was covered with sting rays this year. But as long as you drag your feet and make some noise they will stay well out of your way. Have no desire to catch anymore than I have. Once was enough. The shark I got so close to this year was headed right for me. I don't think he even knew I was around. But as soon as he saw me he turned completely around and was gone. I saw another that I actually tried to video that was just cruising down the beach just passed the swimmers. Every time I took a step that would put me closer to his path he would make an adjustment to stay out further. And I finally lost track of it when I had to turn around and explain to a couple of ladies why it's a bad idea to be running down the beach screaming shark like they are in a Jaws movie.

    World Cup

    I'd vote for that!
  20. I've had probably the same results on a walker. Need to get back on it.
  21. I'll have to give it a shot next year. I've thought about just wading around over in there, seen many doing that. But was always a little leery about what I would run into. But this year in the surf I had a 4 to 5 ft blacktip shark get within a few feet of me. It scared him just as bad as it scared me but he didn't have to change his shorts afterwards.
  22. If we just knew a really good tyer that was good with video's. Hmmmmmmmm........who could we get to do this????
  23. All this does is make me feel like I need to get busy!! I've been slacking. I say yes to an SBS. I promised Ness a video on doing it but again, I've been slacking. Have you played with anything that walks?
