You going to be at the New Year's get together?

I've got a step son that would be interested in them. He's just getting into flyfishing. How much you need for them?

Sounds great guys. Looks like it is gonna be after the first of the year before we get started though. December is just too busy.

Got them all done today. Stopped by and showed them to Phil. He thinks your gonna like them.

Very few people at the park today and the fish were pretty easy to catch. Added 4 more lunkers to the belt today. One of the males was 25 1/2 inches long with a 16 1/2 inch girth. The female was sqirting eggs. 2 other males looked to be in spawing colors. Peach micro eggs worked great. Glad to see most of you staying home and/or shopping rather than fishing

George Let me know when you are coming. Roaring River has got some nice fish in it right now. You'll have to get over that way also.

A few of us on the forum are going to start getting together for a fly tying and pizza eating social hour with a little fishing to follow down at Lilley's Landing. So far Monday nights has been the choice day of the week. I thought about just doing it once a month but Phil has said we could have a place one night a week for the next few months if we so desire. December is pretty busy for some of us but we might be able to sqeeze in one class or social hour during the month. 7 p.m. would be a good starting time and you dont have to stay out all night fishing. Just wet a line for an hour or so after tying. Everyone is invited to come and learn new patterns or techniques for tying. All of this would be absolutely free of charge. Even the White Bass World Record Holder, Michael Kyle, has shown interest in participating in this activity. This would be a great opportunity to learn the secrets of a legendary fly tying inovator and record holding fly fisherman. I will supply the pizza and I heard rumor that flysmallie might supply the refreshments Let me know if you are interested in this and we can set a date in December to get started.

Some fellas on the forum have shown some interest in getting together once a month for some fly tying. Good time to learn everybody's little tricks for tying different flies. Just a social get together with no formalities some fly tying and some pizza. I thought if we did this in the Branson area, then we could do a little fishing afterwards. I talked to Phil Lilley today at Lilley's Landing and they graciously offered a convenient location for us to do this. Phil said we could have a spot one night a month for the next 3 or 4 months for this little shin dig. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights would work best for Phil. Mondays or Wednesdays would work for DD'sMC and I. Is there still any interest in this????? What day would work best for the people interested and what date should we start????

DD'sMC and I will might show up.....depends on how much we celebrate our 1st year anniversary the night before

DD'sMC, Dave (my brother) and I all fished at an undisclosed location somewhere in Missouri also......We had a wonderful day of weather with a beautiful sunrise this morning, good people to fish with and lots of friends to be seen on the river. I started the day with catching my first fish on my first cast and ended up getting interviewed by a newspaper reporter from Rogers, Arkansas. I got my picture taken and everything. On my very next cast I lost my first of several lunkers to be hooked and lost today. Put to hand 2 lunkers, lost 6 monsters. Next is my brother Dave's report..... Put to hand 3 lunkers, lost 2 to the tubes and had 2 LDRs. Finally, DD'sMC's report.... Put to hand 4 average sized bows, caught 1 nice rainbow 3 times before finally landing her on the fourth hook up, in front of a few fellow OAFers, and assistance from her net boy with her new super fantastic "Rainbow Networks" custom made, exotic wood, hand-tuned landing net.....got the stink on my new net, Rick Thanks a million!!! BTW...DD'sMC's lunker was the big stinky fish of the day!!!!
