OCD is the correct acronym. Sometimes I'm so OCD that I'm CDO. (very few will get this the first time) I usually don't fish scuds, however, when I have fished them with success, it was on Taney at night under a lighted indicator and they were UV Scuds.

First of all, watch all of Brian Wise's videos. Learning his techniques will be a big asset in tying smallmouth flies. My understanding is that they've installed a bypass that will allow minimum flow to occur during this period. However, I've been watching the flow from the Upper Illinois coming into Tenkiller lake and it is flowing around 5000 cfs. The Upper Illinois peaked at around 8ft (normally is around 4ft)and is beginning to fall now. The lake level is at 629 ft which is only 3ft below power pool. In the past, when the lake has reached 632 ft, the Corps has started releasing water. Since they will be doing these turbine inspections, I don't know if they will release or not. We'll all watch and see what happens.

I see what you are trying to accomplish. It looks like you put the rabbit hairs in a dubbing loop and used that for your collar. It looks kinda thick, to me. Have you ever thought of using CDC instead? I think you could put the fibers in a dubbing loop, make one wrap and tie it off. Or, you could just tie the feather in and wrap it. Then pull all of the CDC fibers forward, over the bead head and give them a snip. I think the bead might override the floating characteristics of the CDC. Either way, I bet a trout would still inhale that pattern. Thanks for sharing it with us!

I have to agree with Chance. I'd rather fish MO and AR, also. However, it's difficult for me to find the time to make that trip, right now. So, I'll still have to fish the LIR when opportunity presents itself. Heck, I'll even fish neighborhood ponds, here in Owasso, just to get my fix.

I bought a pair of cheap ($10 bucks) polarized amber lens sunglasses at a gas station over 15 years ago. I have searched all over the internet to try to find another pair like them. They have been my best fishing glasses. I'll probably cry, if I ever lose them.
