  1. Agree with both of you fellas. Some folks would complain in hung with a new rope
  2. I have run OMC products for over 45 years and been very happy. Recently, two E-Tech's 150 hp, latest a 2015. Did have a fuel injector problem with the 2008, but turns out they had a bad batch. Otherwise I wouldn't hesitate to get one, quiet, efficient, good hole shot and dependable.
  3. Fantastic report. I remember similar times with my son and they are precious.
  4. Depth was 6 to 15 ft. Was mixed rock close to spawning area. But, this front probably changes things up a bit
  5. I too am mostly a lurker. Got down Sunday for our 2 month spring trip. Fortunate to have fished the Rock for 40 plus years and still learning. Fished from Indian Point to Spring Branch yester and two of us had 17 fish with 9 keepers, one of which was 5 lb. All sent back swimming. Caught on ned, grub, spinner bait and couple on a jig. Hope this cool down doesn't mess things up. But, that's the Rock in the Spring. Uncle B
  6. I also had the pleasure of exchanging e-mails with Dave which led to me ordering his jigs. Very responsive and efficient. So when are the jerseys coming out. Lol
  7. I have a 2008 150 E-tech HO that I am very happy with. Had a fuel injector issue early on covered by warranty. My son has a 200 Merc that has shot craps twice. Other I know have switched from Merc to something due to continuous problems. Just their luck I guess but, I for one vote for the E-Tech. Quite, good mileage, low oil consumption and self winterizing process.
  8. Champ, I look forward to your comment and believe them to be of interest to most. Thanks and keep them coming.
  9. I, also, like Mark at Table Rock bait and Tackle. Helpful and if he doesn't have it in stock will get it. Only, problem is he frequently doesn't have what you want.
  10. Water has been very stained and cloudy for last 3 weeks. Why? After fishing Table Rock for 30 years never seen it this way, except for flood years.
  11. I have fished on Table Rock since 1967. My first trip was with a friend I met in college from Nixa. Fell in love with the lake and fished it ever since. Until 10 years ago made only one trip per year. Sinces that time I have gradually increased my time on the lake to now be 3 months per year. Own a condo in the Indian Point area and thoroughly enjoy every minute on the lake.

  12. I am coming down to our place on Indian Point tomorrow and wondered where we might catch some bluegill now, depth, locations, etc. Typically, fish for bass but wanted to give the gills a go. Uncle B
  13. Bill, my first trip to Table Rock was in 1967 and this forum is a tremendous resource. You and the other guides provide excellent information. In fact I am sometimes surprised you all are so open. Keep up the good work and blieve me this is worderful information.
