  1. Baits run either $10 per trip in the summer as they are jigs and soft plastics upto 80 bucks in the spring and winter of I am throwing the plus one.
  2. I went with a 18'9 boat last year for the fuel economy. I run a 2012 150 xs and it is easy on the gas. Average per morning trip 2-3 gallons. I full up about once a month. The truck gas depends where I am going. Stockton or pome cost 50-60 per trip plus ten for the boat and 2ish for oil. It still hurts when I go three times a week.
  3. I remember rays and lakeview. I also remember Dinkies!
  4. Consevation can do anything but write traffic tickets.
  5. Wigglewart Buzzbait Jig and pig Green grub War eagle spinner bait in mouse
  6. Thanks
  7. Anyone pick up any bass up on the buzzbait yet? I threw it the last few floats with no luck. It should be time for it.
  8. It will last all summer in some places but will not be as strong. I suggest a Sammy over a fin if you know how to walk the dog. A bass tracker will get in tight spots not hit by glass rigs.
  9. I misread your post. I thought you said you bought a house down on the rock. I see now its just a boat. I would focus on the best areas of table rock if I was trailering. I put in at joe bald and run up to Baxter a lot. My folks have a place near Indian point but the action is better by Baxter and aunts creek. I would also consider a trip to kdock with a guide like bill Beck. You may never go back to table rock again. There are a lot less boats on bull shoals. I live in springfield and prefer to fish Stockton, pomme , lake of the ozarks, bull shoals , and Truman before table rock. I still hit the rock 15 times a year but it is a tough lake to fish compared to the others. A gold star day on the rock is average on the other lakes. By the way, there are NO bass in taneycomos creeks and back waters. Anyone who said they catch 5 lb bass there on a regular basis is fully of it. I'm posting by I phone so pardon the grammar.
  10. Put in at Bridgeport ( it's likely the closest place to highlandville anyways) and run up the lake (turn right) into the dirty water where the river comes into the lake. It's a nice place for numbers of bass in the summer. It is also too skinny for the bigger ski boats. If you are in highlandville I would also take a trip down to k dock on bullshoals. It's the same distance as table rock and offers some different fishing opportunities. You have not live however until you have fished stockton. 50 fish days are rare on the rock but par for the course on stockton. Stockton has one of the highest bass populations around this years. It is just loaded with 14-16 inch blacks.
  11. Are sic
  12. What area of the lake ate you on? The James has some of the better night fishing.
  13. Big black and blue or black and red worms work well also. The spinnerbait and jig give off a little bit more vibration for me. When night fish I have all three tied on along with a black spook or black buzzbait
  14. I Fish from 5-9:30 am in the summer. After that you might as well hang it up. A small drop shot worm such as a yamamoto cut tail will also work very well. If you are not night fishing with large black spinnerbaits and black jigs you have not lived. Night fishing is great on table rock. Sometimes I fish 2 am- 9am.
  15. You are fishing too shallow and too fast if you are not catching anything. Slow down and move out deeper. Even on the hard day you should be catching a few. I would stick with the grub in smoke really slow across the bottom in 20-35 feet. Yamamoto grubs (4in) will do the best for catching numbers.
  16. Hire a guide for a few trips. It will more than pay for itself in fuel and frustration in the long run. Babler Is the go to guy.
  17. Catch any? I'm heading up all weekend
  18. I use a 7 foot cara spinning rod to toss a grub. I noticed a better hook up ratio with the cars than my loomis gl3.
  19. I love my caras. Three and counting. Loomis days are long gone. I like the medium heavy jig rod with micro guides. I would always go with the micro guides unless you winter fish a lot.
  20. Set it on the bottom with bottles halfway to float it off the bottom.
  21. Do people eat and keep that many bass? Most everyone I know throws them back.
  22. I thought I spied a cara spinning rod.....
  23. Great tourneyment! Thanks for coming to the rock.
  24. I figured a caplinger Muskie came from pomme which flows into Truman and has a spillway that lets fish under it.
