Getting pretty stupid IMO. BASS needs to spread the love a little. In a matter of 5 years the classic has been on Grand or Hartwell in 4 of those years? Dumb. Same can be said for a lot of their yearly regular season lakes as well. Why doesn't Table Rock ever get any consideration for the Classic? It has all the ingredients to be a success. Great fishery with all 3 species. Big enough lake for the field. Multiple patterns can work at any given time. Plenty of places for lodging. Branson is 30 minutes away for weigh in and the expo. Springfield about an hour if you want to go that route. The Elites have had events here in the past. Should have a good turnout from fans as it is pretty centrally located and would draw from many states. Not sure why TR hasn't been looked at as a viable location for the Classic.

Was watching Day 2 of the BASS Elites live online Friday morning when they were following Cliff "Cajun Baby" Crochet. He set the hook and broke off. At least he admitted it to the camera that is was probably a rock but it felt like it could have been a bite so he swung. Makes me a feel a little bit better about myself when I slam home a hookset.....dead into a tree or dock cable. Happens to the best of them. Let'er rip and ask questions later.

I have just a regular 25lb Berkley digital scale. Thing is pretty dang accurate for a cheapy $25 digital scale. I actually saw your comment about your MLF style scale a few weeks back and bought a Fish Grip Jr on Ebay to use with my scale. It's a pain in the rear to use the metal hook through the gills (don't like doing) and/or punching a hole threw their bottom lip (which I DON'T do). No need to put more holes in them. That gripper looks like the ticket for ease of use, friendlier on the fish and more secure if they flop around. So thanks for that tip Sore Thumbs.

It's a long season. Everyone has highs and lows from tourny to tourny. Come year end the standings won't look anything like they are at present. Lots of time to make up ground on Champ the sandbagger!

Read that article on BassMaster and I didn't even think about the winter pool effecting fishing. Said it makes the lake fish smaller which makes sense....less water and cover.

Ya but sometimes the Basstrakk doesn't always update correctly. Last few years I have been online looking at my picks who had like 3 fish for 7 lbs on BassTrakk and then come weigh in time they have a limit for like 18lbs.

Myself included. I wanted to switch to Christie last minute but couldn't talk myself out of DeFoe. It's a crap shoot and you just never know. Plus it's a long season and already having a good time looking at peoples picks.

Yep. Went on last night and it was crashing. I'm sure it was due to the amount of traffic on the site with fantasy fishing and probably also due to BASS making improvements to the other features on the website. Updating BASStrak, live feed software, etc. Hopefully everyone got their lineup in BEFORE last night so there aren't any issues.

I didn't get it from the big fella. Donna had a "moment of weakness". James said in the comment bar in the fantasy league that his "donation" bait will be a doctored Red Fin. A very generous offer. Lotta good folks on these boards.

I'd say you made the right decision. I'd also say that I'd like to throat punch someone trying to charge me 6K to make my boat more "shinier".

Really kinda stupid not too. Doesn't cost anything or require any extra attention. Like I said before fill out one team per tournament and you are good across all the groups you joined. Could win a fair amount of goodies with no skin in the game. Can't beat that. If anyone wants to join now is the time to speak up. Have under 48 hours until the Elite season kicks off Thursday morning and there are no late entries to Fantasy Fishing. Again good luck to all participant and let the smack talk begin! I can't wait to catch fish off Quill's spots on the upper end using Champ's Red Fin! Insult meet injury!
