  1. I thought everyone here had jerseys with their names already on them? No? Just Champ?
  2. I thought I saw a new patch on the shoulder of your jersey to start 2017.
  3. I have the special order 6'4" UL model for crappie and pan fishing. It was a 6'6" run of the mill rod until I let a screen door slam shut on the tip after the first trip using it. But yeah, for the price they are a nice little rod. Academy carries them and they are $29.99. Academy is always running deals so if you catch them right can probably get them for less. They had Ugly Sticks for $9.98 when I was in the store a few weeks ago and maybe that would have been a better choice as they are door-slam resistant.
  4. Dave answered that for you. I like them because they are silent. Fishing ultra clear water you don't always need a noise making machine like most plastic cranks produced these days.
  5. Yep. I only have the old ones from the early 90 to mid 90s.
  6. Poe's are no good. That person probably just dumped out their Poe's box into the lake like everyone else should do that has any. The preferred dump site is the first cove on the south side of Beardsley Creek. To make things easier there is actually a trash receptacle hanging off the lone dock in the cove with a green roof. Just drop them off under this sign:
  7. Nice loot. Looks like 4 warts and a Rock Crawler in there. It's pathetic but I am fairly certain I can name 100% of these baits. Who knew so many guys are still throwing HECK Benders?
  8. Electronics are so expensive these days they should be like cell phones. They should be able to "locked" to people that aren't the owner and have gps locators built into them whether they are powered up or not in case they are lost or stolen. Until then they are easy scores for easy money for the bad guys.
  9. Man. REALLY sorry to hear that RPS and for all involved. Probably already in the works but certainly give local pawn shops a call and give them the heads up on someone hawking some soar (heads only) units. Hard to trade a piece of fishing sonar for drugs amongst meth heads. Maybe the OA forum guys can keep en eye out on Craigslist, Ebay or other fishing forums with a buy/sell/trade. Total bummer.
  10. Glad one person on the OA forums benefited from anything I said. It's a rarity. But the Tatula/Arachnid are the deal. For the $90 Standard Tatutla, $105 for the Type R (Ebay or Sportsmans Outfitters) or the $110 for the Arachnid they can not be touched. Just a fantastic piece of fishing equipment for the money. Said it a lot lately....but Daiwa for this guy going forward until something changes.
  11. Those Duke guys are really good at kicking someone when they are down.....or when they are up for that matter.
  12. Ebay is always a good source of finding discontinued baits. Sometimes you have to pay the piper for them (Pre Rap Warts, Excalibur One Knockers, Risto Raps, Bagley's, etc) but sometimes the lesser known or sought after stuff you can get at great prices.
  13. How the heck do you lose a Plopper?
  14. Appears to be a Little John MD.
  15. I really like how manageable Yozuri Hybrid is and also like you said it has great strength while also holding a knot as well. Before Yozuri I had been using P-Line Fluoroclear and it is good line but I found when I went down to 4lb test for pan fishing it had HORRIBLE knot strength. Don't what it was but knots would just slip on the smaller diameter stuff. Was fine in the 8 and 10lb but the 4lb was terrible. Made me try out the Yozuri and I haven't looking back on spinning gear.
  16. I would try some sort of trailer hook stopper like you would on a spinnerbait/buzzbait trailer. The round clear tubing kind. That or maybe cut out a piece of a milk carton container with a hole punch (or just a round piece with scissors) and punch the hook through that after you thread this "slimer" on there. That's all I got.
  17. Fantastic.
  18. This or Seaguar InvizX.
  19. Man...this report is killing me!
  20. I see what you did there.....
  21. Here is some more fuel for the fire of a small golf ball company taking on Titleist: http://www.vicegolf.com/repo/docs/Golf_Labs_Driver-HalfWedge-testing_web.pdf Worth a gander.
  22. Hard to beat that combo. Just think a spinnerbait is more versatile than the jerkbait. With the trash that is in Table Rock a sinking jerkbait down past 10 feet usually doesn't last too long on the end of a line.
  23. I fixed it for you. LOL. Gett'em Donna!
  24. Also a good point about the Pure Fishing deal. Doubt it will mean much to Abu, Pflueger , Penn (Saltwater guys) and Fenwick (I think they have a river rat following?). But Mitchell and Shakespeare I could see being condensed into one. I think I also heard that Spiderwire will be no more. I guess Berkley will just take on that line (pun) and call it something else like Trilene/Fireline Whatever Braid.
  25. Must have happened too late after the catalog was finalized. They have Daiwa products on the BPS website now.
