  1. Great news Donna and best of luck to you and Champ this coming up year!
  2. Good Read Techo! I got a real chuckle out of it. Glad to hear you got the wife and son in on the action. Does not get any better than that!
  3. Sounds like a good time Bill. I am sure it was nice to get the ol girl out.
  4. I was down this weekend. No fishing all work. I do know it is muddy on Kings from just above Kings Rivermarina to at least Deer Bluff. Not sure how far the muddy water goes up the Kings. I did not see many heading up the river this weekend. Not much of a report but it is what I have.
  5. Congrats Jeremy!
  6. Thansk Techo...looks as if we are lucky to have family memebers that will fish with us. Doesn't get much better!
  7. Took my son for his first tournament. We did not do so well. He caught a nice small jaw that was 17 and 3/4 in. It only went 1.95lbs..?? He was thrilled. Caught it up the Kings of all places. We took it to the weigh in a little early so he was in the lead for 25 minutes. Got to meet Mr. Babler and talk to him briefly at the dinner. Bill it was a pleasure to talk to you. What a nice guy. Congrats on cashing a check! Looking forward to doing it again next year.
  8. Wont be there Friday for sure. Still a little up in the air for Saturday. Depends on the sons football. Good luck to you and the other Bill.
  9. Very nice K's Bill! Hope to see you down there Saturday. Are you going to fish the Friday get together?
  10. SR Nice pics. I am sure the boys had a blast. Said I would report what not to do because the norm is what I do is not what should have been done. I am not a jig fisherman but decided to give it a try and was able to come up with a few. Was dragging it slow on pea gravel and caught enough to keep it interesting.
  11. Bill you are right on about the talent and that includes you. I have contributed to the Bill B college fund before. I hope to meet some of you fine gentleman at this event. Here is a link to the entry form. http://www.shellknob.com/HSBBT09.pdf By the way I am headed down this weekend so I will be able to post a report on what NOT to do come Monday.
  12. Anyone planning on fishing the Homer Sloan Tourney? I am going to fish it with my son if he does not have Friday night football practice. it will be his first tourney.
  13. Eric..Kudos to you as well. Sounds as if the Monday blues were left for those of us not fortunate enough to get on the water today.
  14. Great job Bill. What a way to end the summer vacation or those boys!
  15. Bill you are right. The Port Grill has real good rings. Sounds like the fishing has been a little rough lately. How is the new boat treating you?
  16. Wow
  17. Thanks for the info Bill. I am not a big tournament angler but am going to introduce my son to his first tournament. The Homer Sloan first Sat of October. I can definitely relate to the difficulty of locating those early October fish. Thanks again for all the info you share.
