  1. Well the easiest Division in baseball has had at least 2 teams in the NLDS since 2011. What else you got??
  2. Oh sorry, didn't mean to shed some light to all the new members with something so simple to keep fish healthy. I must have missed that thread- funny because i don't miss many Chief gets beat up on, lol.
  3. With all the pictures I see of folks taking pictures of fish they caught- though I would share this link. I think it's a good reminder https://twitter.com/BassFishnTips/status/592660868971831297
  4. Why don't you ask Moose and Cain what they really think about his actions? Coincidence they keep getting hit.. doubt it. If I was one of those guys the next time I got hit, after the game I would kick that skinny dudes arss. Better yet, put him in the NL for a few games and let him do this. I'm sure his attitude will change when HE takes a fastball in the ear. I am really getting tired of this "we haven't been respected for 30 years bs" hardly any of these guys have been around long enough to have been treated that way. It's really sad to watch such a truly good team turn the attention away from their talent and make it a side show every night out.
  5. Just wrapped up "Code of the Hills" by Nancy Allen- courtroom/mystery taking place in the Ozarks. I think it's her first book, but thought it was pretty good. Had all the typical streotypes/assumptions/truths about the Ozarks. She just came out with a new one I will be ordering shortly "A Killing at the Creek"
  6. Really- come on guys that's baseball. When you're 7-0 scoring like 10 runs a game and jumping all over every pitcher it happens. Teams have to try and bust you inside to keep you from getting comfortable and diving out over the plate. Yeah it sucks but all part of the game. Early in the season and it's already killing me to hear Royals fans playing victim.
  7. I gauge my seat height by my ability for my feet to be able to fit when I'm kneeling. If I can't slide them underneath it's too low. I did learn you don't want you're feet too tight under there in case you flip- darn last thing you want is them to get caught up under your seat.
  8. Congrats.. just in time for spring. I think you will like the seat being a little lower, really helps lower the center of gravity. I dropped mine about 3" when I got it.
  9. The Harpeth in TN was my favorite stream to float and fish when I lived in TN. http://www.outsideonline.com/node/1965671?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=tweet
  10. Quite a trip you had- I was fortunate enough to play for a USA baseball team and spend 2 weeks in Australia. 1 week in Sydney (where I got to spend New Year's Eve in the harbor) and 1 week in Melbourn when I stayed with a family who's son played on their professional baseball team. It was the experience of a lifetime, and your report brought back some of the memories I had of not only the trip- but the flight, arghh.... that one does suck. Thanks for sharing, it was a pleasure to read
  11. Yeah- Lynn passed away about a month ago. They had closed for a while, but then decided to open again prior to Lynn passing away. I got an e-mail from them, they are honoring all purchases made prior to his death but are now closed permanently.
  12. Hope her dad wasn't the "business" type... that would have been ironic.
  13. Just got an e-mail from Brent at the KC Star- he asked for my phone # so he could conduct a brief interview with me about this. Hope he finds it newsworthy enough to do a write up. Ness- did you hear from him too? - I'll keep you all posted!
  14. On it Ness and Chief- limited to what I can do living in KS, but will do everything I can to bring light to this particular situation. Just because I live in KS now doesn't mean I can't chime in. Plenty of family and friends in MO to help with this. Ness thanks for the sample, I will send another note to him in the morning.
  15. If you're looking for more excitement (meaning faster water and a bit more challenging) you should consider the Upper Jacks Fork or the Upper Buffalo. Water levels have to be just right though for both of these. As far as excitement, they're the best two I've been on besides the Mulberry.
  16. Would someone typically keep this or release it? I know very little about them and am just curious.
  17. What's sad these days is to 99% of the population, the thought to sue anyone over something like this would NEVER even cross our minds. But it's that darn 1% that costs us more $ and creates more restrictions. Unfortunately most warning signs are not there because of pro active action. Most are as a result of some stupid thing happening, a lawsuit and the loss of $
  18. I think Oneshot lives on the upper section of the river and may have a good idea.
  19. Thanks for the help fellas- that helps me on what I need to be looking for. I haven't had the best of luck with some contractors around here and am always hesitant to trust what they are telling me. I'm in Overland Park.. I'll give them a call- as well as a few others.
  20. Hey folks, weird question but not sure where to start. My gutters on the house are starting to pull off the house. I can tell it's from the wood behind them being rotted out. It's a 2 story house so no way I'm climbing up there. Here's the question.... who do I call for repairs? There's nothing wrong with the gutters so I don't really need a gutter company. The wood will need to be replaced and painted, so would I call a painter? Or do I need to call a siding company, have them replace the dry rot and then call a painter and have them paint? I've called a few handy men and haven't had much luck with their help. Any advice is appreciated.
  21. And after my post about the Coopers Hawk, I walk in my house look in the back yard and BANG- there he is standing on top of a Mourning Dove having a nice afternoon snack. Wished I would have seen his attack.
  22. Al, bet that hawk was a Sharp-Shinned or Coopers Hawk. Both notorious for swooping in on feeding birds. Two days ago one swooped out of the tree and one of the scattering birds flew straight into my window. Pretty cool birds
  23. To each their own I suppose- I'm sure there are 100 different opinions on the best way to handle the situation. As I'm sure each way has positives and negatives. My dad made me work for what I got, and to this day it is appreciated. I didn't want to go to college, nor did my parents ever set the expectation that the only way to get ahead in life was a 4.0. Rather, I feel they kind of met me in the middle with a happy mix of education and work. Of course, I must admit working in my dad's factory in high school went a long way in influencing my decision to go to college. Hell, now that I think about it he sure knew what he was doing without forcing my hand, Lol
  24. Not trying to be Mr. Paranoid here, but with the internet these days just be careful anytime you let someone know you have cash in hand. Case and point: http://abcnews.go.com/US/bodies-vehicle-found-georgia-case-missing-craigslist-car/story?id=28526184 Best of luck, I remember my first car, Chevy Z 24 Cavalier. That sucker set me back $3,500. Piece of junk but proud to say i paid for it all myself.
  25. Eminence to two rivers... or Alley to Eminence will be your best bet. That time of the year your probably gonna be dealing with decent crowds.
