We went to ash river trail...on lake Kabetagoma a couple years ago...caught a slew of big smallmouths on a popper...the week of Memorial Day. Can boat into Canada if you want. We stayed in a cabin and boated back and forth each day but there are lots of reservable camping spots that are remote. It’s part of voyager national park...borders Canada...it was absolutely awesome its way northern Minnesota...up by international falls...lake is connected to crane lake and rainy lake

Thank you for the help....we would’ve went to the pits if I didn’t see your report and I promise you we wouldn’t have caught a 19 inch smallmouth in the pits...it looked and fought like a carp...I wasn’t sure if it was a smallmouth til we got it in the boat We just let the wind blow us down the bank...at the end we were fishing in those pockets right where it turns back on itself...at about 6 o’clock...we could tell the wind was whipping pretty good...son said let’s get a little closer to the truck...so we headed back...glad we did...there were rollers headed back towards big bay i tried my homemade under spin for about 10 casts...and thought I had a bite on it...but don’t have a lot of confidence with it...so just stuck with what was working...you caught some good ones on yours. Good job

We whacked em pretty good this afternoon...only one goggle eye but I caught 8 keeper small mouths and 2 shorts...biggest was 19 inches oldest caught his limit of small mouths and Probably 10 short spots...the spots were 12 inches or so...he would make longer casts up closer to the bushes...and he worked it faster most of mine were in 10 foot or so...around a stick up on a bama craw Ned...I did catch 2 small spots on a jig on the other side in the very back of a cove Great day...got to Campbell point about 1...felt like we had the lake to ourselves ...wind was out of the north about 15 all day... water was rolling pretty good on the ride back from Baxter

Thanks...the boys favorite fish is goggle eye...going to drag the doctor around and hopefully catch a bunch...we won’t keep any we still have a couple ten of your Ned heads but probably need 50 more...are you still selling direct? Are you selling to the jug n plug?
-
Are you catching any dragging? Probably a stupid question but that’s my favorite way to fish...split shot or c rig...we’re begging off the pits...and headed that way tomorrow morning...pto style...thanks

Tyler childers...hard times

I had the local shade tree mechanic add some led lights around the rub rail a couple years ago the bow lights are led now too...have a couple blue led lights up above the deck we look like a ufo out there...pretty cool but sure some will complain about too much light that trim switch in the middle quit working about 10 years ago...but same power powers the lights...not sure why it doesn’t work

Poor people have poor ways...both the boys got a turkey...youngest just this past weekend turkey bacon Alfredo pizza style

that big wire nut is the ground for the led lights...I found the two main wires and traced them I put ground in the wire nut...and jumped the hot wire to the hot wire for the lights...and that got power to it. I think I must’ve blown the in line fuse earlier so will try to fix that before calling it good thanks for the help...I don’t know the basics of fixing stuff
-
Thanks...I’ll keep looking and see if I can find the negative one...as you can tell...it’s a jumbled mess
-
My old ranger had a deal...where you just added clips to the wire and then hooked to a long circuit board....this boat doesn’t have one. I think it’s just led lights in the wire nut It works off the battery....it powers up
-
I’m trying to swap fishfinder up front. The old one was working and was wired into the wire nut but when I try to add these two off the Lowrance it doesn’t work. If I hook those two wires directly to battery (green) one positive and one (white) negative it works i think both negative and positive wires are in the wire nut but not sure... the light switches that are part of the wire nut work what should I do? Run 2 new wires back to the battery? I hope not...I don’t know how to do that...thanks

Whew...That’s a scary thought Gavin. I hope it doesn’t come to that but like they say...history repeats itself

I agree with a lot of the things you’ve said...but slow down and explain your points
-
I’m definitely a doom and gloomer✌️

I misread what you said...sorry you were saying the money you’re investing is casino money....I understand that thought. I used to research and buy/sell micro cap pharmaceuticals stocks as kind of a hobby. I won some and lost some...was fun for a while.
-
I’m not trying to pick a fight....but this Isnt speculation money...speculation is when you and I invest in something like the stock market this is the govt huffing and puffing trying to keep the bubble afloat til they can find someone else to fill the void...ponzi scheme style

I think this latest bump is being provided by the stimulus...and it’s just providing an opportunity for the big money to get out to me...there is much more risk to downside than missing out on an upside opportunity. there will probably be some short term advances with all the stimulus money...but that won’t last forever. I can’t time the market...so what little money I have is in an fdic insured account in a midsize bank...quite a bit is tied up in a 401k...but it’s all in cash. I’m not even in a money market...may as well be digging a hole in the backyard Save your money...and pay off debt is my advice

Same holds true for oil price and supposed shortage of storage capacity...if the refineries thought the price was going to go up next month / 6 months...they would find a place to store it. But they know what they buy today will be cheaper next month so no one incentive to purchase

The stock market and treasuries are included in those commodities that China invested in...and that China is pulling their money out of...they are all going to devalue. treasuries are at the top of the governments list to prop up...they can’t default on those the pig farmers talking about abortions and slaughtering their pigs without taking to market isn’t because the plants are temporarily closed due to Covid...it’s because they realize that the market is headed down long term...and feeding the pigs is a loosing proposition
-
Ya...I agree. All the commodities that China invested in will devalue and America will try to prop up...but the hole is bigger than the dirt being shoveled

I hope the manufacturing boom happens...lord knows we need it working from home likely to be more common going forward

It’s official...the us and china split the sheets I spent all afternoon on a webinar talking about the decoupling of us from china and how it will effect supplychains Was geared toward ports and container freight specifically...but also Touched on oil supply...and on tariffs I initially thought the fed stimulus plans would result in hyperinflation, but after today...I think we are headed toward deflation...there’s no way the fed can print enough to prevent asset devaluation. The asset devaluation will cause debt defaults and bankruptcies. Many companies will go out of business Heavy tariffs to be placed on Chinese goods...in the near term...most of that product will be shifted to neighboring countries. Vietnam and the like to try to avoid the tariffs Long term...There will be near-shoring capital expenditures to bring manufacturing back to US but those investments will not be labor intensive more robots than workers...unemployment will continue to be high they painted a pretty bleak picture...save your money...it’s definitely going to get worse and maybe a lot worse My neighbor owns a restaurant...we were talking tonight about his reopening plans...and the various phases of redeployment...phase 1 25% occupancy...phase 2...50% and so on. He’s not sweating it...has a sales job in a different industry that is main source of income...restaurant started as a hobby really...he has been in business 20 years...I helped him start it. We started talking about the phases mostly because his mother in-law is in a nursing home...and they’ve said that it has to be phase 3 before she can have visitors or leave the complex...i said that may be a long time.

Cool deal...even has a cup holder
