The oldest limited out both days we hunted...Sunday and Monday...1st and 2nd I didn’t shoot very good 1st day but did better Monday...it got hot Monday morning early...really foggy opening day. We didn’t hunt in the evening mojo doves make big difference...they’re worth the forty bucks.

We finally found some goggle eye...22 feet in big bay by the boat ramp...but I think they came out of deep water cuz we had to fizz a couple I agree with magic worm. Just for the record...I am mostly using a wacky worm fish dr...on my drop shot. The youngest is using night crawlers or red wiggles...which ever one we have. The oldest uses both artificial and live bait. The boys are out fishing me at least 3 to 1 biggest bass so far is 17.5 largie on a red shad worm pitching bushes...close to campground

I’m not sore about not having you take us...the tips you gave me have allowed us to catch fish...but I think each trip is different and you need to access client expectations early in the process

I’m down at Campbell point now...I asked you for a guide trip this week...three months ago...and you blew me off. I’ve went with you twice in the past...once on taneycomo while staying at Phil’s...15 years ago in October . And again out of shell knob bridge 10 years ago in early April...and we caught a lot of fish. my two boys and I have caught a bunch of fish in 3 days...most wouldn’t consider them guide worthy I guess...mostly bluegill but some bass...we are having a great time. Dunking worms...and fishing a fish dr on jighead along the steep bluffs and 45 banks worked good today. We are fishing 15 foot water mostly. I’m more concerned about smiles and memories...than worried about techniques It really seems like a strange question to me. If you have to ask what a client expects after 20 some odd years of guiding...I guess I’m glad that I never got a call or pm back. Because the guide rates are really high

The boys got here about 4....I cooked burgers and then went fishing about 630 or 7. we fished night crawlers on a drop shot on a bluff end...we caught 40 to 50 between the three of us... but most were bluegill and pumpkin seeds. Some were hand sized but most were smaller. Also caught a handful of small spots...1 keeper in the bunch. Oldest Also caught a 12 inch flathead...was a first for him. Anybody know where and how to catch goggle eye this time of year in Campbell point area? They’re my sons favorite fish...

They’ve been at a catholic youth conference. I think we’ll catch em pretty good. Catching fish on a drop shot...and a football hula jig on what you guys call a roll off. All spots...not brown ones

We’re at Campbell point this week til Saturday. Got here about noon today. Haven’t fished much but caught one on drop shot...so I got the skunk off. Trying to wait it out...and fish later tonight but I might wait til the morning. It is really busy and hot. The beer is really cold so might just stay in tonight

Decoys look good. I’ve been adding to my spread this summer too. We don’t have a place to hunt worth driving to Joplin from St. Louis...but 4rivers isn’t too far. If you wanted to meet up there sometime...we could probably have some fun. I’ve got a 1436 Alweld with a mud buddy...it’ll get us out into the marsh/corn.

I hear ya...but I’m done. Im not smart enough to fix it. i thought I had it fixed and it blew the tail light on the truck Saturday. I messed with trying to fix the truck yesterday and didn’t get it done. so I’m pissed. I’ve never liked the trailer...should’ve just bought new one when I got the boat instead of throwing money at it. I’m selling without a title so probably work best for Kansas or Oklahoma...but I think anyone could apply for a homemade trailer title. I put it on Joplin Craigslist

14 foot Jon boat trailer...needs rewired. I’ve given up on it. Has new tires...100 bucks. No title —- in Joplin...come and get it

Blah blah blah...best way to catch blue gills is shallow on a fly rod. Catching blue gills at 30 feet sounds like a dud...good luck

Nice fish...Gary Harlan is a good guy...he used to belong to Loma Linda back in the early nineties. Glad to see he is still fishing.

At 500 a trip...I’d say you stand to benefit from the chamber of commerce video weekend...I wouldn’t ruffle any feathers it only cost me $30 bucks in gas so maybe that’s why it didn’t matter
