Probably going to wait and plant corn the 25th good luck

    Being Prepared

I think a lot will burn in an attempt to collect the insurance
  4. I’m s been 10 years ago...but We used to go way back up in the trees of Indian creek and catch whites this time of year. didnt even seem like it was part of the lake...the water would back up into those trees up there...and the white bass would be in that mess. Almost looked like flooded timber duck hunting
  5. Thanks...we’re in zone 6...live in joplin this is the plan I’m working from https://extension.tennessee.edu/publications/Documents/SP291-E.pdf im Planning to plant one row of green beans...and the rest corn in the part I’m tilling I bought some bags of soil today for my wife’s beds...and the canoe...trying to get those ready for her She already has lettuce and stuff going...I usually plant a couple peppers in one of the raised beds...I don’t like tomatoes so typically don’t plant those i tilled another 10 by 20 spot today behind the raised beds...planning to plant watermelon back there...and see what happens
  6. Thanks for the link...That place has peaches and cream...that’s good stuff i ordered kandy corn already...would’ve probably preferred peaches and cream
  7. I’m trying to pulverize the heck out of mine...made quite a few passes today...what’s a good day to plant sweet corn? I’m planning on May 1st just not sure what the grass strands will do...so figure run ithe tiller across it every other day or so
  8. Scary stuff...thanks for the info...I don’t understand all of it but get the gist
  9. Thanks...I’ll check out those ace professionals
  10. Really all I need is open end wrenches...my sockets work halfass i got good channel locks...wire cutters and tin snips
  11. I want something good to keep around the house...I’ve got a couple socket sets...and some crescent wrenches. im terrible about putting tools back in the box...but would like to get a decent set of tools....away from the master mechanics ive looked at some of those kits at harbor freight but really don’t want all the Allen wrenches...and the screwdriver bits
  12. Forgot to mention...I bought 87 octane at conoco for $1.09 line was all the way around the building
  13. I thought I got an email that harbor freight closed...I know they said they donated all their Ppe gear i need a good homeowner tool set...got any recommendations? Always wanted a craftsman but with sears in the tank...not sure what to get??? i went up town today too...Home Depot style...got some peat moss...and 13-13-13
  14. Good job...We looked last weekend pretty hard in Se Kansas but no luck...might try it tomorrow...thanks
  15. It’s not big enough to be worth anything...it’s just a pain Im pretty much doing the same... check out dripdepot.com for irrigation ideas
  16. I found a bunch of old arrows with it...the kids and I shoot 3D targets off the deck...at a hog target that we lean against that post. Lots of misses from 50 yards or so...that tiller sure finds em...they aren’t worth a darn tho
  17. dried up down here...just finished my first pass on my new spot...took about an hour with the new tiller...heckuva a lot easier than the old clodbuster gonna let it dry a bit...then drop it down a notch and give it another pass. its about 30 x 30...trying to go around that stake...there’s an old walnut stump there.
  18. My grandpa owned a small grain elevator in bates county...he said you can’t trust em. This was in the 90s when some moved into the area. I don’t know anything about the mennonites...but I trust his judgment when I was kid we used to go to Jamestown up past liberty...and go to auctions and stuff. I think those people were Amish. I hated it at the time...but thinking back about it...it was kind of cool. My dad and uncle were raised on a farm before mechanical machinery...and horse drawn stuff was always their hobby. Specifically belgian horses
  19. Should be good this weekend...rivers a little high but you’ll be able to get your boat in at twin bridges....I was down there yesterday but didn’t fish...just looking around
  20. I might need to copyright rascally rapid...kind of catchy...or maybe I’ve just had too many Budweisers
  21. as for a boat name...I always liked mrs Budweiser or maybe rascally rapid
