Montauk has several snappers in the park. They like to hang out where people clean fish. Don't stand in one place very long if you are wearing trout colored wading shoes or maybe white sneakers. And for sure don't wade barefoot. They tend to get really brave if you have fish on a stringer. Just saying. Sounds like some tuff fishing over on meremac side of the trout water.

somewhere in the codebook it says you are allowed 3 hooks per pole, aka alabama rig. I don't know why they would discriminate against a fly pole. but i would add that multiple hooks while fly fishing is tailor made for snagging and snaring and foul hooking.
According to the chart, they cut the flow of "30" from 10 to 12 noon, then bought it back to "30" at one. At first I thought maybe the rise in lake level was due to the big fish they stocked at the hwy bridge.
