I learned to fish without an indicator because they had not been invented at the time I first started fly fishing.

Montauk has several snappers in the park. They like to hang out where people clean fish. Don't stand in one place very long if you are wearing trout colored wading shoes or maybe white sneakers. And for sure don't wade barefoot. They tend to get really brave if you have fish on a stringer. Just saying. Sounds like some tuff fishing over on meremac side of the trout water.

Its seems lately, that everytime I look at OAF, there is about 25 topics on ned, fred, and buzz baits. Is there a way to filter out all of the bass and turkey and sports talk?

That sign that says "wading by fishermen only" must be confusing.

Ouch, that is easy enough to do with only one hook to contend with.

somewhere in the codebook it says you are allowed 3 hooks per pole, aka alabama rig. I don't know why they would discriminate against a fly pole. but i would add that multiple hooks while fly fishing is tailor made for snagging and snaring and foul hooking.

As I recall, a state record brook trout of 1lb 14oz was caught near moberly on some creek.

Two weeks ago on a tuesday, same thing. water came up 1.5 feet with no horn at all.

Look at the belly on that fish. that is a great fish Albert. Big rainbows seem harder and harder to come by these days.

According to the chart, they cut the flow of "30" from 10 to 12 noon, then bought it back to "30" at one. At first I thought maybe the rise in lake level was due to the big fish they stocked at the hwy bridge.
