  5. I agree those rc wake baits are great. I had one and caught the heck out of them till I broke off on the hook set on ft. gibson. Dang 10lb fluorocarbon. I keep waiting for them to go back on sale at 10 bucks a pop, but I dont think it is going to happen.
  6. Very cool. Thanks for posting the pics.
  7. Yes it was bad. My brother and I were on the lake trying to run back to Aunts creek from Piney to make the weigh in. Felt like we were smack in the middle of a tornado, luckly we found a dock to weather it out for a while. We had rain all day, but that last bit was a little much.

I would also suggest Spring River. I have caught a few out of Shoal, just not worth the effort.

  14. I was out sat. also, got limits of whites and went down lake and got into some spoonbills. great day to be on the water. just cold enough to keep the crowds away.
  15. Nice weather today, to bad I was at work Glad you got out and enjoyed some bass fishing. I was able to get on the creek sat. and caught a few on a jerkbait and jig.
  16. went last week and water was very dirty, yesterday the water looked a lot better, I wish the fishing would have been better. I saw a few boats catch some small whites in deeper water. Use small jigs on bottom, If you can find some brush mark it and fish slow. They have been catching some crappie too. Counted a least 20 boats, so it will be busy on a Sat. I threw a jerkbait for awhile and caught a couple black bass up river. Good luck
  17. I second that. Also the chartreuse one works well. Its one of the best baits over in OK for whites.
  18. WOW! those are some nice fish.
  19. Down river a little bit, at conner bridge. You can get lucky sometimes and find a few in Feb. Later in March it will be full of fish.
  20. Sounds like your ready to go. I am about ready to go and hit the bank over in OK.
  21. 40lb mono is what I use from bank with a spinning reel. I have a short boat rod I am going to use this year with 100lb braid to a snap swivel. Tie up some 50lb mono leaders with hooks for easy breaks.
