We use a clicker once we run out of fingers and toes between us.

When we put it on the trailer at 5:45 p.m. there was plenty of room.

My picks are in. Seemed rather ho-hum based on the lake, the number of Florida boys and bass on beds. I did have trouble deciding on the group with Hackney. I so wanted to pick him, but went another direction. It will be interesting, for sure.

Photo doesn't really tell the tale. It was a good 5lbs and had the entire jerkbait in her mouth sideways. I "hugged" her in the boat to avoid sticking my hand in that mouthful of trebles. Lol

Thanks for sharing. It was good to be out. We had to work hard for our small catch and fight the wind all day. Didn't land any cedar trees, though.
-
We'll post today's trip here in a little bit. Not nearly as impressive as Fishrman and Sprint21ftr from yesterday, but it will more info anyway. We launched from SK, also. Wind about beat us to death all day.
-
Yep, we've had a hard time getting on the site the last several days.
-
Glad I picked him. Anyone see the final results for the OA team? We're on our way back from TR. Long windy day. One of us will post a report later.
-
I picked my team in a big hurry and fully intended to go back in before cutoff and tweak my picks. Life and work got in the way and I missed my opportunity. Currently in third. Guess I should always choose by the prettiest jersey and let it ride. Honestly, I focused on anglers who had some good rounds in MLF and ones from Tennessee. Hope to spend extra time considering my picks a little more thoroughly before the next tournament.

Recommendation on good place to stay on Truman
Donna G replied to retired chem teacher's topic in Truman Lake
I didn't read through the entire thread, so sorry if this has already been recommended. When we fished Central Pro-Am back in the day and went to Truman we always stayed here https://www.unclegabbyscabins.com/. Good people running it. Cabins were clean with everything you needed. Parking was convenient in front of the cabins with outside electrical for charging your batteries. "Uncle Gabby's Cabins is just a short drive to Clinton, Warsaw, Beaches and Restaurants. We are minutes away from the various Marinas and boat ramps including Long Shoal, Truman State Park, Bucksaw, Windsor Crossing and Berry Bend. " -
Well I'm offended, as well as disappointed in the others who took it to the gutter. I'm not ANYBODY, but I am somebody.
-
Not funny.
-
Top 3. Finesse jigs, please.

Define easy. Not to dismiss any of the great info on this thread, and I know the ladders can be a lifesaver, but none of these are easy for round, short, old girls. I've taken an unintentional swim a couple of times, once in full bibs, jacket and boots. Forget the ladder. I'm looking for an escalator.
-
I have to fight the small girlie portion of me (I do have some estrogen) not to pick my roster like the horses at Oaklawn... that one's purdy and has the shiniest jersey, I mean silks. And look how prancy he is. ?
-
It was a quiet day in the animal kingdom, but don't forget that beautiful mink we saw. Glad we golfed today. Think it would have been more of the same on the lake as yesterday since all we saw on the course was three herons and two robins. Brought along the squirrel crackers for nothing. lol
-
You guys are killing me. Again, with the visual.
-
I'm in. I'll have to get more familiar with the B.A.S.S.version of fantasy fishing. I've only played FLW before and this format seems different. Looking forward to it.
-
I've registered. Just need the password so I can pick the team. Looking forward to it. Champ188 and I used to compete against each other in the FLW league. Fun times.
-
Not to mention now I can't UNsee Tommy's shorts.

True love ?

Love a Senco on a shakey head. Told Champ I'd rather fish it that way or weightless than Texas rigged. You can put the hurt on 'em at Bull in some of those deeper narrow cuts throwing it weightless on the ledge rock and easing the Senco over the edge. That's my favorite time to go weedless with it.
-
Yes, he did. We had it recorded and finished watching it this evening. It's fun to watch the MLF anglers on lakes I've fished. Had the privilege of competing in the Central Pro-Am championship one year at LOZ out of PB2 as a co-angler. Fun times. Well, except for the big boats and all. I was completely airborne the second day running back in when my pro grabbed me by the life jacket and hauled me back in. lol
-
LOL -. I stayed comfortable. Wind was a little sharp this afternoon, though. Got my new Patagonia fishing gloves in. This was a good trial. Fished all day in them and even tied on a Ned using a Palomar wearing them.
