Never have used one, reviews are good for the most part, main complaint seems to be that it is a bit larger and heavier than most low profile reels in it's price range. Good to see them at another retailer, one of these days I will buy a Lews, heard a lot of good things about them. But if JM wants me to buy one at BPS, he'll need to put them on sale.

Great scenery shot, I wish this weather would hold for a few more weeks, but looks like we're going to see some cold stuff next week.

Nothing but blind luck on catching a trout every once in a while, but for some reason they like the Ned.

Got out today for some fishing, had to work for them. Started off slow on the Ned, decided to do some cranking with the Rock Crawler, caught a 3 lb. LM right off the bat, another one about 12", and then spent an hour throwing the RC without another touch. I was running down the bank, fishing the RC, saw something on the lake side swirling on top, threw the RC at it, no bite, then picked up the Ned and threw it out there, let it drop a couple of feet, picked it up, and this trout grabbed it. Picked up another dozen bass on the Ned and Mega 110. Couple of nice keeper spots. Water temps 51-52.

I have found the hard plastic bite to be really tough in the White channel. I lost a good fish on a jerk bait, and had a couple of dinks on cranks, but that has been it. I'll try the hard plastics for a while, but if they aren't working for me I put them down and pick up the Ned and t-rigged tube.

Good fishing for sure! I might head over there next week if we don't have a crazy rise in the lake level. Saw the weather forecast tonight and they are saying we could get 8-10 inches this weekend. I sure hope it's not that much.

Ham, I didn't even notice that little thingy until I saw it on the picture, so unfortunately, it is still swimming with it.

Dtrs is right about what you'll see on the sonar, the fish are on the bottom, hard to pick out especially on the rocky stuff, I did see a few obvious fish a foot or two off the bottom, but most are tough to pick out. 176, are you fishing the Ned at all?

Every year I say to myself that I am going to do some serious bluegill fishing, but I never do. There's probably some good redears in Beaver.

It might be a meanie, markings of a spot, but has that dark green coloration.

Well my day wasn't nearly as good as Cheesemasters. Got 15 bass to the boat, most on the Ned and a few on a tube. Had 3 keeper sized spots. Threw the hard plastic around for a while, got one pretty good largemouth to grab a Mega-price 110, but halfway to the boat, he did an aerial head shake and tossed the lure. Fish I caught were in the 10-20 FOW range. Saw a couple of bass chasing stuff up on the bank. Water temp 51-52.
