Tough morning for me, 8 bass total, a 2.5 smallie and a 2.5 LM were my best fish. Just could not find them, deep, shallow and in between, I tried a lot of places. One top water fish, the rest on Ned and jig. Saw a school of small mouth fingerlings in the shallows by the Big M ramp, don't know that I've ever seen a school of them in a lake before. Surface temp 72.

Must have been another one of those fronts that dumped more down south than up here. Maybe an inch here. Lots of wind last night however, and the power got knocked out for about 2 hours.

I think I'll sign up for a basket weaving class this summer, or maybe learn Chinese. Come on November...

Great fish, those 3 lbers might be money fish today. I have yet to catch a Goggle on the Ned.

Just went out and tested no-ethanol gas that I use for my small 2 stroke engines. No ethanol in it. I'm going to test that gas at the HWY 62 station at the pump, next time I stop there, you never know. But so far, I have yet to find any ethanol in gas that is labeled no ethanol.

I've done the test on ethanol free gas here in AR, and it is ethanol free. Running the test you mention above. By law in AR, fuel labeled ethanol free can contain no more that 1.5% ethanol.

Fished Bankers hours today, literally from 9 to 5. Caught 25, only 3 keepers. Mix of LM's and Spots and a couple of 12" smallies. Most fish came on the Ned, but caught a couple on cranks, c-rig with a lizard, jig, and wobblehead with a Structure Bug. Most of the fish I caught were spawned out and relating to the front of coves. Water in the Big M to down past point 23 is stained, but fishable. Lots of leaves in the water, but very few pieces of wood. Surface temps 70-72.

I remember that several years ago, Johnny Morris bought some surplus monkeys from the Springfield zoo. His plan was to train them to do routine tasks at the Basspro boat repair facility in Springfield. He figured they could be trained to do routine tasks like backing trailers, changing tires, etc. He'd save on labor cost and tools as monkeys are incredibly strong for their size and have powerful fingers and can do things with their hands like loosen lug nuts. Well, last year one of those monkeys climbed the fence and disappeared into the woods. It was last seen in the vicinity of Aunts creek. Now there are reports of loosened tire lugs and missing trailer parts at the Aunts creek launch. Draw your own conclusions. I hear you can bribe it to leave your trailer alone by leaving a bunch of bananas on the hood of your vehicle.
