  1. Shields has been shaky throughout the playoffs, but last night was pretty brutal. If it goes to game 5 I imagine he's slated to start, I hope he can pull it together by then.
  2. Great seats!
  3. Don't know if you guys know this, but you can google "Player X splits", for example "James Shields splits" and you'll get a breakdown on the players stats, home, away,vs lefties, vs righties, turf, grass etc.
  4. Yep, good advice!
  5. I read a book a while back, I don't remember the exact title but it was something like "Tournament winning strategies from a Pro". Don't remember the author either, but one of his top tips was to find out where the tournament release sites are and fish them.
  6. Congrats on a great trip for this time of year!
  7. Excellent, good to see folks having fun and catching fish!
  8. Just to counter Jerry's negative vibes.. Cards defence was truly wretched, play good D and they could still be playing. I expect KC's D to be much better. KC can run on Posey. Starting pitching looks to match up pretty well, KC's bullpen is better. It SHOULD be a close series.
  9. They start the game burning almost 8 minutes off the clock, march down the field, score a TD, then it takes GA all of a minute and a half to answer. I'm tired of watching opposing receivers get behind the AR secondary and making big plays. Play calling drives me crazy also, they run the ball well the first series they have it, then come out throwing the 2nd and 3rd series? You have to throw every once in a while to keep the other guys D honest, but it is not AR's strength at all. Georgia is looking strong right now.
  10. I'm pretty sure Tim Hughes, as part of standard practice, removes the old paint. I imagine most of the custom painters remove the old paint, I would not want one that is painted over the old paint.
  11. Yep, looking forward to game one!
  12. Funny... That is a nice bow.
  13. I like Harold, but not a Darling or Ripken fan, Ripken is really bad in the booth. I think the local KC guys, Physioc and Hudler do a better job than any of the TBS/Fox crews. First two games in KC.
  14. I've had Tim Hughes do some Warts, he does outstanding work.
  15. That's an awesome trip, thanks for the report!
  16. I second that.
  17. ALCS MVP - Lorenzo Cain. Would have been my choice if I had a vote.
  18. Wow, still letting reality set in, never thought we would see KC in the WS this year. Would love to see them play the Cards, but that is starting to look unlikely.
  19. I don't have one, but I have talked to two people who do and they consider them to be useless..
  20. Hey now, it took us a long time and a lot of goldfish to train those 10 lbers to come to the boat when we turn the Hydrowave on, so you just stay away.
  21. I went ahead and booked the "Bunk Lodge" for Thursday night, if you can make it Phil, that's great, if not I'll be there anyway. Actually it's 1/2 the Bunk lodge, she says it can hold up to 4 people if anyone else wants to stay Thursday night. I'm again bringing my dog, I think everyone was cool with him last time, but just thought I would let everyone know.
  22. When I lived in Massachusetts I talked to another fisherman who trolled jitterbugs at night during the summer, he claimed he caught a lot of bass doing that. I don't see why it would not work here during the right time of year.
  23. Must resist temptation. Must not buy. But...they have some neat looking baits. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Duo_Realis_Jerkbait_110SP/descpage-DUOSP10.html#multiview
  24. WOOT-HOOT!
  25. Victims of bad defence.
