  1. That is a brilliant idea! Blackstone cooked Vienna sausages!
  2. Fished the morning, nice and cool to start, 90 by the the time I put the boat on the trailer. For me, the slow fishing continues - Caught nine bass, only one a keeper. Best bait was a Zinker on a jighead and the fish were shallow for the most part. Caught one bass on a crankbait and that was my one keeper. Had a double on for a bit. On the single hook jighead. I knew that one of them would get off, but I got them close enough to the boat to reach for the net, as soon as I did that the bigger of the two pulled off. The one that I caught was 13", the one that got off was substantially bigger. Of course it worked out that way, big one gets off, little one landed. All in all, it's pretty unusual to get a double on a single hook lure, wish I could've gotten them both in. WT 77
  3. Caught this fish on Table Rock today, I'm thinking a Warmouth, maybe a Warmouth hybrid?
  4. I'm still bringing the Vienna sausages. Might even bring a 2nd can, because I'm sure you guys will be all over them.
  5. Happy Birthday!
  6. Sounds interesting, doesn't it? Been poking around online, not a lot of info. Might be one of the few places in the world you can fish for Atlantic salmon without having to hire a guide or pay to fish a "beat".
  7. I've throwing it up to 5 FOW and dragging it out to 20-25. Haven't had much luck fishing it any deeper. Things change so much this time of year of course so that could be the wrong thing to do next time out. 😀
  8. Awesome pics, looks like a great stream to float. The nighttime tent pic is my fave.

    What's Brewing?

Scurvy Dog IPA Saw it at the local Wally World. Impulse buy, liked the pic of the retriever with a duck, and it is brewed in Norfork AR. Tastes good, has that little bit of a snap of an IPA and a hint of citrus.
  10. Stonewall Jackson's last words, we could take his advice: "Let us cross over the river, and rest under the shade of the trees."
  11. Looks like shade at the park. My vote is for the park.
  12. We are meeting at Y-Bridge park aren't we? I've never been there, but supposedly picnic area is there. I'm going to shoot for getting there about 12:30.
  13. Pulled into the Big M launch one day, couple of softshells were up on the bank. They took off running, long legged things and surprisingly fast. I doubt they could beat a rabbit however.
  14. He's having a great year, 200 hits, 30+ HR's, over 100 RBI and 29 stolen bases, plus he's a darn good shortstop. Still have a couple of weeks left to add to those numbers.
  15. That is pretty neat! Can you fish the rivers, assuming you buy whatever their equivalent of a non-res license? Seems like most European trout fishing requires a guide and private river access.
  16. Bobby got his 200th hit last night, plus a grand slam. His numbers are MVP worthy, but I don't know if he can beat out Aaron Judge. Dang Royals lost though, should've won that game. Bullpen failed again, plus many opportunities with men on base that were blown.
  17. Nothing beats Vienna sausage that have been properly aged in a pickup truck. If you've left that truck parked out in the hot sun over the summer, that really brings the flavor out.
  18. Used to have one that raided my garden. It liked to eat cantalope. Haven't seen it in a few years. It was not an ornate. Pretty common to see them crossing roads in the spring.
  19. I plan on going, I'll just be there for the eats. I'll bring my small grill, charcoal and lighter. I will also volunteer to bring cups, napkins, plates, and plastic utensils. I'll try and remember to throw a case of water in there too. Who is bringing the Vienny sausages? 😃
  20. Dutch got me today, he caught 20 of those 25. He's got the technique of fishing those Z-Man Zinkerz down pat. I took mental notes and I might be able to stay close to him next time out.
  21. Y Bridge park? I know nothing about the area, but a search on the internet says there are picnic tables at Y Bridge park. I can bring a little table top grill also. I'll show up for the food. 1 PM is time to eat?
  22. When you say take out at Galena, are you talking about Y-Bridge park?
  23. Close game, but no cigar.
  24. Big ol' cats there Rick!
