  1. Good deal, thanks for the report!
  2. Glad to hear you got your stuff back.
  3. The Plano line of crank bait organizers are pretty sweet. Not as tough as those Bait Coffins, but good value for the money.
  4. Weightless whacky rigged Senko can get them some days.
  5. My dad and his fishing buddy fished those Charlie Brewer slider heads with black Zoom Trick worms (every once in a while they fished watermelon), almost year round. They fished them in lakes and would make a few float trips a year and they'd fish them in the rivers. They caught a lot of bass on that outfit.
  6. Yeah, unless there's been a drastic change in the last 24 hours, the fishing is good once you get past Panther creek. That's as far up river as I've been.
  7. Yep, the Ned rig is worthless. No one should fish it.
  8. There is debris all the way down the lake to point 23. But, main channel temps were still reasonable, low 50's or so. Fish were in the main channel and in the coves getting ready for the spawn.
  9. A couple of great fish, congrats!
  10. Excellent!
  11. That's a sweet boat for that price.
  12. Tough day today, 43 lbs. in the lead.

    Baseball!

Watched the Sox beat the Yanks last night. Always fun to watch them beat the Yanks in Yankee stadium. Ex-Cards pitcher Mujica got the save. Got the DVR set up to record this afternoon's game.
  14. That is one nice bass, congrats!
  15. Good deal!
  16. Well I'm just going to tack on to Bfergs report - A pleasure to meet you and your Bro also! I caught about 25 today, plus a 20" walleye, almost all on a jig, just a couple on the Ned. Just couldn't find much of a Ned bite for some reason, so I kept slinging the jig. Pretty much all short fish - might have had 5 keepers. Fish are starting to move back in the coves, caught several back on rocky cove banks close to spawning gravel, the males are pretty close to making beds. Talked to a fellow that was fishing with his wife and they had picked up a few on the jerk bait. Pics would not rotate, grrr.... Water temps were 52 - 56.
  17. Excellent! That's a great day of fishing, congrats!
  18. There's so many things that could work right now - a guy could spend all day changing out stuff to see what works.
  19. These Wrench eulogies are touching...where's my Kleenex? He does crack me up on occasion, here's a classic thread:
  20. I hear you on that, Grand is crazy in the summer, and it's not just house boats.
  21. LOL! Duke - You might try calling some of the big marinas like Prairie Creek and Hickory creek and ask if they know of any private owners that are willing to rent one out.
  22. I haven't thrown one, but they are eating the Ned rig, which is similar (sort of). I bet the grub will work.
