I've never heard of this TWIC deal, thanks for the education. Who do you make the check out to when you get or renew the TWIC? I hope it's not the US Treasury, because if it is, that money goes into the giant black hole that is our US government. So there would be no seperate budget for TWIC offices, they'd have to be funded out of the discretionary budget which is basically in the hands of Congress. -
Do you know if it was LEO that put the warnings on your vehicle, or the camp ground attendants? Just curious, I just never see LEO at the Corps parks around here. Not that I have a problem with LEO being around, it's just that if they say they can't afford to provide enforcement at Viney, I have to ask what enforcement? There's very little as it is.

Palomar knot for me, sometimes I'll use a San Diego jam knot. I use Seaguar also, and very rarely have a break at the knot. -
What enforcement? Only time I've seen a COE LEO was last year when one of them was putting up a barricade during the shutdown. Are they laying off any personnel, or just closing a park? I think I know the answer to that.

HA, you should watch Arkansas, I thought Anderson was supposed to be a good coach. I see little evidence of that so far. But he's still new, so I'm hoping in a year or two he can field an NCAA tourney capable team.

I don't think anyone who pays $100 for one is going to fish it. It's mainly collectors buying at that price.

Is there enough room to park on Saturday mornings? It used to be you could park in that field across from the entrance, if the lot was full, but it's fenced off now. I always fish that lake during the week, and even then some days the lot fills up.

I remember fishing on Beaver a few years ago by the dam when they were migrating, one would fly by about every 10 minutes or so. I've also been in Arizona when the migration came through, more concentrated there and you'd see lots of them, low to the ground and flying south. Hopefully it's a bogus news report. -
I like the idea, just don't know if I'd be up for driving a couple of hours to attend.

I haven't heard that but thanks for the heads up. Viney is a very nice park and seems to stay busy during the summer, makes no sense to close it. And if they are going to close it, they should at least leave the ramp open. Might make sense to contact the local US Congressman for that area.
