Or you can end up like Arkansas, beat 3 cupcakes to start the year, then get your azz handed to you the remaining games when you play quality (or even other SEC bottom feeders) teams. For what it's worth, I'm a believer in playing one cupcake game to start the year, but trying to get one or two quality opponents before diving into the SEC schedule.

I hope so, with my luck they'll be suspended 75 feet down in 100 feet deep water, and won't touch nuthin'.

I'm looking forward to the Auburn/Bama game. I think Bama will prevail, but things get interesting if Auburn wins. Lets say Auburn wins, and Mizzou wins out the year. Would we then have a scenario where the SEC does not have a team playing for the NC? We end up with FSU vs OSU?

Yeah I'd take Tulo also. But to get Tulo they'll have to give something up, whereas Peralta is a free agent. Could be a negotiating ploy also, give Peralta a lowball offer and see if it scares the Rockies into easing on what they want for Tulo.

If OSU and FSU both win out, I can see OSU moving ahead of FSU, mainly as OSU will have to beet MI State in the Big 10 championship game.

They appear to be seriously pursuing hm. Supposedly he turned down their first offer of $52 million/4 years. The guy has some pop in his bat for a SS, but not a lot of range defensively. Seeing how he was involved in that PED scandal last year and got a 50 game suspension, it makes me wonder if his numbers may have been inflated by PED use? It's hard however to not trust Cards management and assume they know what they are doing.

After watching Baylor get spanked by OK State, it's probably a good thing they did not end up in the title game.

Speaking of boats being towed... 30 years ago when I lived in Massachusetts, I used to do a lot of night fishing for bass. I usually fished a black jitterbug. I had this one man fiberglass canoe that weighed 40 lbs. or so and I could cart around in the back of my S-10. One night I was fishing a lake near my house and having a great time, bass fishing wasn't as popular then as it is now, and I think those fish in that lake had never seen a jitterbug at night. I caught several in the 5-7 lb. range. But the "one that got away" occurred as I was running the jitterbug down the side of a dock, huge bass erupted on it, I hooked it and held on as the monster pulled me and my canoe towards a small sailboat that was docked near the shore, I just couldn't get any leverage to turn it or get a really good hook set and it swam under the sailboat and got off. 10 lbs. maybe? I'll never know.

Is it a Black Friday sale, or does it start earlier in the week?

That would make me cry, not ripping the skin off the tip of my thumb, but getting a drop of superglue on the boat.
