  1. Will do, got some time to fire off some emails today.
  2. Thanks for the article. Anyone know if Big M is one of the eight open?
  3. I'm going to try that myself. I've heard through the grapevine that a suspender or slow floater fishes better than an unmodified "new version" wart.
  4. That's a darn good day, Jeb. Those nice spots are a blast to catch!
  5. LOL, no we did not fish near the secret ramp. We went to a secret spot near a secret cove first thing in the morning. We had a good early bite dragging c-rigs with Trick worms and speed craws on some 10-20 foot deep brush piles. Then things got tough, with just a fish here and there, Jeb out fished me 11 - 3 or something like that. I must have been wearing the wrong color t-shirt or something.
  6. We may have used the same secret ramp you did, we were there in the AM however.
  7. Windsor is the bigger of the bunch you mentioned, Loch Lomond is the biggest BV lake. Fished Windsor last week, it was a tough bite, there are some schooling fish that can pop up and if you're right on them, you can get them on a spoon. If you're into bream, there's been a good bite on Windsor, crickets fished around deep brush piles.
  8. Thanks for the pic.
  9. PC launch was empty yesterday, I haven't seen anyone "break the barrier" and launch on Beaver. I bet HWY 12 is busy.
  10. That is a load of doves, nice work!
  11. Suspending Wart, I bet you could get a buck or two for those.
  12. Hmmm, we have guys who know absolutely nothing about zebra mussels proclaiming they ain't gonna hurt a thing. I love this forum!
  13. Very nice!
  14. I'm a James Lee Burke fan myself, I think I've read them all. The remarks the bad guys make about Clete can be some funny stuff.
  15. Just speculating, but aren't zebra mussels plankton feeders thus the clear lake you see as a result? Seems that would be bad for shad with the mussels eating their food source. It might be good for smallmouth, but I can't see anything else benefitting from a zebra mussel infestation.
  16. Very nice!
  17. Just wait until Saturday, if this shutdown thing goes on that long.
  18. Viney entrance is now closed. So much for that idea.
  19. Anyone know if the Eagle Rock marina has a courtesy dock? Do they have a drop box for the launch fee for us folks that show up at oh-dark-thirty?
  20. Yeah I guess the fish have been outsmarting me too much lately, I'm starting to give them more credit than they deserve.
  21. Good question, since logic doesn't seem to apply in this situation, I assume it's to piss people off. If that's the goal, they're doing a good job.
  22. But you're not a fish. And if one of those cheeseburgers stuck a hook in your nose, you'd probably be a little more cautious in the future.
  23. Just took a little trip over to LB South to see if the ramp was open, got there just as a ranger was telling a striper guide that had just launched to reload his boat and leave. I talked to the ranger for a bit and he told me all COE launches will be closed. The rangers are still working BTW.
  24. Just got back from Lost Bridge South on Beaver, happened to get there as a ranger was at the launch telling a striper guide that had just floated his boat to reload and leave. The ranger was getting ready to barricade the entrance. The rangers are still working, just keep that in mind if you remove a barricade and launch.
  25. I like to give the fish a different look at times, they see a lot of warts.
