  1. " He lets that bait set so long it starts to reproduce." That's the best one I've heard in a while, LOL! I need to start fishing my jerkbaits slower, 10 seconds on a pause is about all I can stand, but I need to change my ways.
  2. I'm always happy to post a report, but I haven't been on the Rock for a while. I'm hoping to get out a bit more starting next week.
  3. Some of the stuff they can't advertise at 20% off because of the agreement they have with the manufacturer, but you can call them and you'll get the discount.
  4. That's a nice , fat smallie for a Beaver fish!
  5. Pressey needs to take his game up to the next level. He needs to play smart, disciplined basketball. As I watched that game I kpet wondering why Mizzou wasn't taking advantage of their bigger and stonger inside game. If Pressey learns how to feed the big guys, rather than looking for his own shot, Mizzou can be tough to beat. But if they continue to play like they did vs AR, they're going to fail in the Big Dance.
  6. Thanks Donna for the info!
  7. Wow! Just a touch overpriced IMO.
  8. Yeah definitely send them over to Crystal Bridges, it's free, and now one of the top art museums in the country. Gusano's pizza which has 3 locations, Rogers, Bentonville, and I believe Fayetteville. There's an American Indian museum in Bentonville also, lots of arrowheads and other artifacts to see there. Pea Ridge and Prairie Grove battlefields. I haven't been there, but I hear Har-Ber village over in Grove OK, is neat to see. And on the way to Grove you'll pass antique and thrift places. Check the U of A baseball schedule, they are currently ranked #1, might be fun to take in a game.
  9. Even as a Hogs fan gotta admit the refs maybe were a tad favorable towards the home team. Pressey didn't play a good game either. Chippy game, physical, not a lot of X's and O's going on.

I wonder if they do a big convoy with all the rigs together with a police escort, or if they just hit the road on their own as soon as they get on the trailer?

Looking at the weather forecast, they're saying storms on Thursday with a sunny, windy, cold day on Friday. Saturday and Sunday look to be relatively mild, but it will be interesting to see how they do on Friday (if this forecast holds up).
  12. Whew, for a second there I thought this had something to do with an outhouse... That's pretty good, 3 limits of crappie, congrats!
  13. That is cool, thanks for sharing.
  14. Yep, I'm looking forward to that Mizzou game in Fayetteville. Important game for both teams. I understand it's tough on the road in the SEC, but to get blown out by Vandy is unacceptable to me. I can see a close loss, but that was ridiculous. I really am starting to wonder about Anderson's ability to motivate his players.
  15. I wipe mine down in the parking lot right after I put it on the trailer. I always have on hand some spray on/wipe off boat cleaner/wax. Whenever I'm bored I'll go out in the garage and spot clean the boat.
  16. Good to see you back rps, you must have got that flu bug that was going around. Little Sugar creek, upstream of lake Bella Vista is stuffed with minnows, couple of guys with a seine could probaby get some good wallie bait. I'd recommend wearing waders instead of jeans, LOL.
  17. Sheesh, they go on the road and lose to Vandy? What the heck??
  18. Thanks for the report. Dirty water Wart bite - I like it!
  19. What do you think of Bass Times? I've never read it, but I'm always on the look out for bass mags. I like BassMaster's mag, I'm not crazy about the angler biographies that they put in there, but like the how-to articles.
  20. Well I'll be interested to hear if it makes a difference for you. As for myself, I just haven't seen much of a difference the few times I've applied scent, at least for bass fishing. I'm thinking maybe they'd hold on longer to a scented jig, but it seems that fishing plastics, they usually grab them pretty good if they are biting on them. I'm usually more worried about the fish swallowing plastics so typically I'll set the hook fairly quickly, I might miss a few fish, but I'd rather miss a few then bring in a bleeder.
  21. Got my latest edition of Bassmaster magazine yesterday, several articles on what the pros are thinking as far as fishing Grand. It's a good issue to pick up if you're not a subscriber. The magazine also has an insert that has a coupon for one free buffet at the Hard Rock hotel and casino, and a free gift coupon that you can take to the B.A.S.S. booth and get a free gift. Daily launch - Wolf Creek ramp, just outside of Grove - 7 AM. Daily weigh in - BOK Center, doors open at 3 PM. Outdoor expo - Tulsa Convention Center, Friday 2/22 12 PM - 8 PM, Saturday 2/23 10 AM - 7 PM, Sunday 2/24, 10 AM - 4 PM. All events are free.

Starts Friday the 22nd and runs through the 24th.
  23. I'm not much of a wallie fisherman, but the wallies should be running up the White below Beaver dam anytime now. They'll also go up the White and War Eagle arms of Beaver.
  24. I'm going to have to closely look at a 110 next time I fish one, maybe it is slightly nose down and I have not noticed. I think it was 2 years ago when the FLW came back to Beaver, some of the pros were doing well by weighting their 110's so they would slow sink. They were doing it by adding extra split rings to the hook loop things.
  25. Probably a fluke win, but it was good to see them beat a quality team for once.
