Me and Jeb launched out of Houseman first thing in the AM yesterday, fished up and down river, throwing various artificials and never had a single bite. They really started running the river water starting about an hour after we got there, I don't know if that is good or bad for the bite, but it was really running. Weather was cold, windy, and sunny, probably not the best day to go walleye fishing.
About 0930 we trailered up the boat and headed over to Beaver, Indian creek arm to bass fish, and wouldn't you know it, Jeb caught a nice 23" walleye on a jig. Seems we catch more walleye when we're bass fishing than we do when we target walleye.
