  1. Sweet! I like to hear that they are starting to get out there and bust shad.
  2. The lakes do provide some great pan fishing. Nice bluegill and redear!
  3. Great pics and much clearer water than the Big M area.
  4. Thanks, yep he is always near the top or at the top whenever there's a tourney on Beaver.
  5. I see a few OA guys in the results. http://www.flwfishing.com/results
  6. It wasn't me, I don't have a kayak. Does anyone know what the winning weight was?
  7. Senko or fluke - saw some guys Friday working weightless flukes back in a pocket, they hooked a few. Haven't tried it myself.
  8. Maybe use the Ned as the 'weight' in a drop shot setup. Drop it into a school of angry spots and I could see doubles possibilities.
  9. The high skies do make it a bit tougher, but it sure is good to be out there on a nice day.
  10. Send Dtrs a PM, he'll set you up. I like 6# myself for fishing the Ned. And welcome to the site!
  11. Live coverage has started, looks like Martens is bed fishing. http://www.bassmaster.com/video/bassmaster-live-sacramento-river-presented-lowrance
  12. Last time out I picked up a couple vertical fishing the Ned. Seems to get me a few every time out. Usually the boat is sitting in 20-30 FOW and I'll see the sonar showing a fish or two near the bottom. I'll drop the Ned, let it hit bottom, and gently shake it. Sometimes it takes them a minute or so to come over and get it, but it works. I'm interested to see how this will do once the fish get out deep in the summer, might be a good thing to have along side the drop-shot.
  13. I get more than 3 trips out of mine. But I don't fish the Ned for 16 hrs a day for multiple days in a row like some do.

    Thanks for the info.
  15. That is a very nice smallie!

    NFL draft

    Titans picked up DGB.
  17. Aaron Martens in the lead. I might watch some live coverage today if I have the time.
  18. I might give it a shot next week. I hope the fish get the spawn over with soon.
  19. In my opinion the BX Wakes easier than the Redfin. It's also easier to cast. But, it doesn't have that unique snakey action that a jointed Redfin has. I'd like to see the BX come out in a jointed version.
  20. Good deal!
  21. Never could nail them down today, seems that most of the fish are back in the coves in the Upper Section. Caught a couple early on topwater, and during the day caught fish on The Ned, wobblehead with a Structure Bug, Nutech Jig, War Eagle jig and some c-rig fish with a UV Speed Craw. I'd say my average fish was a spawned out 13-14 inch Spot. Saw fish on beds, fish actively spawning, and some bass fry swimming around. Saw several big shad balls out near the main channel, nothing was bothering them, but I think that will change before long. Could be setting up for a good top water bite. 25 total, with 4 keepers, but I did get a Babler Slam. Water temps started at 62 in the AM and were up to 65-66 when I left at 1:30 PM.
  22. Good stuff, thanks for the report!

    NFL draft

Yep good value pick for the Bronks. He may haunt the Chefs in the future. Doesn't have to worry about being pulled over and busted for the evil weed in Colorado.
  24. Looks like several guys have now moved up to over 20 lbs. That's one of the problems when someone like Coombs gets a fast start. It's hard to upgrade much once you have 22 lbs. in the livewell.
