  1. Good to have you back! I've tried a little Ned rig fishing the last couple of weeks, caught some small 10" bass but haven't had any success getting larger fish. Maybe I'm giving up on it too quickly.
  2. That's one spot I will keep to myself.
  3. Not to be argumentative - but I know a gravel point that is a great early morning bass spot in the first part of summer, there's also some gar swimming around it, but they don't seem to bother the bass.
  4. Cool, glad to hear you found some.
  5. Good luck, looking forward to seeing some pics.
  6. Slow at Aunts creek? You're probably pulling our collective legs, you're catching limits of 5 lbers, but want to misdirect us and keep Aunts creek to yourself. But on a serious note, it does seem on the upper end that it helps if you can find stained water.
  7. Good deal, I was wondering if you would be out there with the bright moon.
  8. Fishing Table Rock today, I saw 4 flocks of honkers flying by overhead. They were wwaaaayyy up there.
  9. I launched about 9 AM this morning, usually I start at daylight, but with a foggy morning I decided to delay things for a while. Motored up the Kings, and found things to be a bit slow at first. No wind at all early, which always makes thing tough for me. Fished several baits, spinner bait, buzz bait, grub, square bill, tube, pencil popper and a wacky Senko around docks. Caught a couple on the pencil popper and had a few bites on the other stuff. I decided the jig seemed to be my best bet, stuck with it, and around 1130 or so started to catch fish. Don't know if it was because I figured it out, or the fish started biting - I always ask myself that question when a slow day starts picking up. Fish were on the 45 degree chunk rock banks in the 10-20 Foot range. Light bite for the most part, I was lifting the jig and pulling it forward a foot or two, maintaining bottom contact. The bite was usually just kind of a "mushy" feeling. Finished with 15 bass, with a 3 lb. LM as big fish. Caught some in the White channel also which was encouraging. Water temp 63. This fish spit up one of those minnows Bo is always seeing at night. Some of the maples up the Kings still have some colorful leaves left on them.
  10. Yep, that's a beautiful fish, congrats!
  11. Talked to a retired fellow that lives in the Eagle Rock area last week, he was getting them pretty good a few weeks ago, but when I talked to him last week he said it had slowed down.
  12. Good deal, hope you get some more - Eagle Rock needs more brown fish! If the wind was blowing up there like it was in Bella Vista last night, I tip my hat to you at being able to catch fish in that stuff and at night to boot.
  13. They're Wiggle Warts, not going to break me financially to pick up a few new ones.
  14. Good to hear, I may have to dig them out of the back of my tackle box and give them another try.
  15. Nice!
  16. That was quick turn around Tim, thanks!
  17. Was going to order some today, took a close look and they are "available for backorder". Grrrrrr...I guess I won't be placing any orders.
  18. My 2 cents on the kids fishing aspect of it is why not raise and stock massive numbers of hand sized bluegill? Kids just want fast action and easy to catch fish. Stock a few big catfish just to add some lunker potential. I don't have anything against the urban trout stocking programs, it's done here in Arkansas also, but IMO if you want to get a young child interested in fishing, I would not recommend starting them off fishing for trout.
  19. Was taking a look at the WW's on the BPS site and they have some new colors. Phantom Green Blue Craw Phantom PBn'J Craw Peanut Butter and Jelly Craw I may have to purchase a couple of these.
  20. Were you and Champ about a mile from the mouth of the Kings about noonish? If so, I might have seen you as I drove by going down river. If I would have known it was you folks I would've stopped and said howdy.
  21. That is one heckuva a wallie. I've talked to some walleye guys that are regulars and fish out of Big M and it has been tough for them this fall, they'd love to get one like that right now.
  22. Fished the White river channel down river from Big M and also fished up the Kings for a couple of miles. Much better bite in the Kings, threw a spinner bait (per Champ) for the Kings fish, and caught a couple in the White on jigs and a pencil popper. Caught about a dozen total. If I had a chance to do it over again, I would have just fished the Kings. Water temp 64.
  23. I'm sure a guy to get a bass to eat one, but at that price I'm going to pass.
