  1. Next week, probably.
  2. Spent a couple of hours in the morning fishing structure and docks from 10 - 30 FOW, all for one 2.5 lb. LM on a Megabug. On the way back to Big M, stopped at the end of a long roll off (where I met Duck and his team), graphed some fish in the 20-30 range and saw some top water activity. Picked up half a dozen bass on a football jig, c-rigged UV Speed Craw, and several on a Rapala BX wake bait. Unfortunately got there a little late and the bite tailed off after an hour. Picked up a couple more out of a brush pile on a bluff end on the c-rigged Speed Craw, called it a day, and was on the trailer at 12:30 PM. 10 bass total with 3 keeps. Used the Rapala BX wake bait for the first time today. I like what I saw from it. It is heavy, weighs 3/4 oz, so it casts really well and is easy to throw on a bait caster (no helicoptering). It does a good job of waking, starts waking on the end of a long cast, much easier than getting a fin or Mikey to wake. Fish seemed to like it, when they hit it, they grabbed it, didn't have much of a problem with missing fish today. But I've only fished it one day, we'll see how it does going forward. Water temp 82.
  3. It was certainly nice to meet you and your friends and family out there Duck.
  4. Congrats!
  5. Tough little suckers!

    Wings Anyone?

    Looks tasty!
  7. That's a big channel cat. Interesting about the bass in the brush piles.
  8. Welcome!
  9. I like a slot limit also, takes 6 - 7 years for a spotted bass to get to 15", seems a shame to kill them. Plenty of 12" spots out there and they are much tastier than the bigger bass. Tournament guys probably don't like the slot limit idea, but it seems you could make an exception for tournament weigh ins as long as the fish were released alive. But then again, I can see enforcement issues with that.
  10. HAHA, I was thinking the same thing, but I'll probably go tomorrow morning.
  11. In minutes. Some real strong straight line winds blew through, temp dropped in minutes. Some rain, but not much, really needed a good rain. I like the cool down however.
  12. A ride along would be cool, is the White river arm of Table Rock in District one or two?
  13. Some long lived bass...
  14. That's a great day, congrats!
  15. TB - Is that Twin Bridges?
  16. Speaking of tomatoes - I haven't seen a single hornworm yet this year, usually I'm picking 2-3 a day off my plants. Haven't seen any Japanese beetles either.
  17. Glad to hear you had such a good trip!
  18. Could be the smallies were too deep, seems I read somewhere that the shocker doesn't work below a certain depth, I'm thinking 6 feet or something like that.
  19. AGFC did some LM stocking last year in Beaver, it will be interesting to see if that makes a difference. Don't know however if they have any way to measure what effect (if any) it will have.
  20. Never been checked here in 8 years myself.
  21. Wow, I've never seen a hatch like that.
  22. Drunken guitar playing and singing - that would be hard to take - you have my sympathy.
  23. Like those pics!
  24. That is a huge warmouth! Great pics BTW, I need to visit this forum more often.
