  1. The Spro Little John MD is an interesting little crank, I have a watermelon red one that I threw this fall for a bit. Caught a couple of bass on it on a windy chunk rock bank. Looking forward to giving it more a workout once the weather warms.

    Dry Aged Beef

Standing rib roast - man that's good stuff!
  3. Yeah and what was up with that fur coat?
  4. Man, that bass is a pig!
  5. Yeah I was disappointed by the commercials, a couple of heartfelt ones that were OK, but overall I'd rate it as one of the worst SB commercial wise I've seen. Anybody see that VW commercial where the VW engineers sprouted angel wings? WTH??
  6. Yeah I'm thinking 8wt. I'll let you guys know what I think of the LL Bean book - hopefully it's not a disguise for a bunch of LL Bean ads.
  7. Glad to hear you made it home OK, from what I've seen on the news reports there were all kinds of cars off the roads yesterday.
  8. Thanks for the write up, sounds like a great trip. Did you fish any of the new model Curados?
  9. Watching the news last night, they showed a picture of a guy on the front deck of his boat fishing near Prairie Creek, the guy had his back to the camera. Must have been an inch of snow on the front deck. Who was it? Fess' up, LOL.
  10. I ordered the L.L. Bean Fly fishing for Bass 2nd edition. I'm a book reader, I enjoy reading fishing stuff. I would have liked to pick up a copy of Lefty Kreh's bass fly fishing book, but it is ridiculously priced, even used it was over $50.
  11. It's downright embarrassing. I drove to Walmart just over the line in MO yesterday morning just when the snow was starting. MO already had a sand truck out on 71 - Arkansas - nothing.
  12. Denver just didn't show up, one of those bad games that a good team has once or twice a year.
  13. It's somewhere in the low single digits temp wise here today. Looks like 4-5" of snow. Forecast for tomorrow is ominous - freezing rain a possibility.
  14. Good reads, thanks!
  15. That is one mean looking fly!
  16. Seahawks!
  17. Doing more browsing here and on other sites. Folks speak highly of the TFO Clouser rods, they seem to be reasonably priced but yet very well liked by what I've read. Then there's the line question - sinking line for Clousers and other minnow imitators? But if I'm going to throw floating flies I'd probably want floating line. I can see where a guy might need to carry a couple of reels with different line types, floating and sinking.
  18. I hope they are right. 50's are going to feel like a heat wave. But for crying out loud, it should be 50's in mid-February.
  19. Great video, there sure are some folks out there who can make great fishing videos. I need to figure out what weight and length rod to get, I'm thinking mainly throwing streamers and shad imitating stuff, but it would also be nice to have a rod that is versatile enough to throw some surface baits like those poppers.
  20. Wow, on sale for $318, what a deal! The question I have, is if they are made in Japan, why are they called "Roman Made"?
  21. Any recommendations on a good flyfishing for bass book? I'm looking for the basics - rod, line selection kind of stuff and techniques.
  22. it's unbelievable this year, looking out at the 10 day forecast, there's little relief in sight.
  23. Go Seahawks! Refs, please stay out of the way.
  24. Quite a few teams lost in the top 25 yesterday. Seems to be some parity out there, if a team can make it to the tourney they have a reasonable chance of going deep.
