  1. Thanks for the report Ham, sounds like a great day on the water!
  2. It's been real slow on the Bella Vista lakes also, had a pretty good shad die-off on Windsor a couple of weeks ago, but that did not get the fish going. I'm blaming it all on these nasty cold fronts that keep marching through. Oh well, it won't be long before the fish go into pre-spawn mode. We'll start catching them then. I just hope we do not have a cold spring like last year.
  3. Old Plug, you'll have to let us know how you do throwing those swim baits.
  4. I tell you, it is dangerous to a person's wallet to even look at that TW site.
  5. Danger makes an awesome jig!
  6. I didn't see any shad, alive or dead, around the Big M. Didn't see any shad balls on the finder either. I did not go out and ping the deep water, it could be that's where the shad are.
  7. I must have just missed you. I left right around 2 PM. Those filleted out fish have been there for over a week now.
  8. Yeah, I've been eyeballing those Lucky Craft Smash swim baits....must......resist......urge.......to .......purchase......
  9. Drug the tube around for a while today, still slow, caught 5 bass, a couple of 17" fish were my big ones. Wind started blowing pretty hard early in the afternoon and it was making it hard for me to drag that tube deep and keep it in contact with the bottom. Tried inside a few calm coves, but just can't get a bite on that water right now. The few I'm getting are still coming off steep chunk rock banks and deep timber. Surface temps were 38 -42. Saw an air temp of 67 on my way out - that won't last for long. This bass looks like someone dropped some black paint on his head. Chunky spot
  10. Just in case anyone is interested. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Z_Man_Zinkerz_6pk/descpage-ZMANZKR.html
  11. Well I'd like to see AR win, but they have a bad habit of getting a lead then blowing it in the last 10 minutes. Big game for both teams IMO, as far as NCAA consideration. I'd say it's a "Must" win for AR, and a win at AR would look good on Mizzou's resume.
  12. Thanks for posting the audio.
  13. I'm looking forward to that Tuesday night game. I expect it to be close.
  14. Thanks for the report and pics. 19" Pickerel is nice sized for that species.
  15. I hope not, that would be kind of scary (and weird) to be surrounded by 30 bobcats.
  16. Old Plug - Are you thinking of getting the BBZ-1? I don't think they give a lot of resistance, I don't have one, but one of the guys that do can chime in. Good idea on something you can toss without a lot of resistance.
  17. HAHA, funny - took me a minute to get it.
  18. Thanks Fishtracker, I should've gone over their today. Maybe tomorrow if the wind don't blow too hard.
  19. Thanks - Hard to say if it will be open.
  20. Darn thing weighs 10 oz.
  21. Yep, great advice - I've fished jigs one time for trout, they work great!
  22. I....must....resist....the.......urge.....to.....purchase.....
  23. Watched the FL at Bama game last night, Bama hung in there, but just could not keep pace at the end. FL hasn't impressed me as far as being a dominant team, but they play smart and do a good job closing games out. Definitely beatable and it will be interesting to see how they do at Mizzou.
  24. I'm thinking about launching there tomorrow, but I'm concerned the cove may have iced over - anybody got a status?
  25. As far as customer service, Humminbird has always been head and shoulders above Lowrance - maybe that's changed lately.
