Jet Boat Project Needs a Name. CV-19?

She did leak a little, found it while running. Almost looks like a 22 when off from inside and did not pierce all the way thru. Easy fix. -

SD got her wings today. Picked up my little cousin and cruised from Old Greenville Ramp to Bounds Creek. In flood stage, GPS showed 12 MPH up and 14 down. Planed out good and run like a champ. Motor sits about right. Hard to say how shallow it runs with so much muddy water. But pops up good and plenty of umpf. -
Made a quick glance today at the farm. Found this little feller. Doubled in size by this afternoon. Did not look long, just around the Catalpas and the dying ash along the road to the upper barn when I checked game cams. They were looking at Old Greenville today in the bottoms as we jetted by. Mayapple is out, those little white flowers are everywhere. Its time here.

Sweet corn goes in early, sprouts easy and does not really need alot of heat to germinate.

Jobs like that may have something shooting back.

Under brush greening up here for a few weeks. Mowing yards. They were finding some in TN a few weeks ago. Probably time to get out and look. Take a stroll around the farm tomorrow, we have lots of ash dying there. May spawn a few.

Craftsman sold the name before Sears tanked. Ace Hardware and Lowes? carry some of what's left. Harbor Freight will stay open, vital industry, they sell generators. They have a cheap tool, which works well in a box in a boat that only gets used a few times. Better than nothing.

Shopping for weekend groceries yesterday at 5 pm, 10 shoppers in the store, ones I passed dodged me like the plague. Checkout and Manager friendly as usual, talked with him for a while like normal. Most stuff in stock again. Needed a new trolling battery and some things for the boat build. Drove to Academy and stood in line for about 5 minutes, socially distanced on my x on the side walk. They are only letting 25 customers shop at a time. Crack lady came to close to me from behind and was coughing and talking on the phone. Don't have a clue what she was after, and she did not seem to have 5 minutes to spare. Store was pleasant to shop, did my business and left quick with the battery, some bearing buddies, a motor cover, and a donut for the trailer jack. Wally World had the lawn and garden door open, jetted in there and bought a throwable cushion. Business as usual there. Harbor Freight had built out the front of the checkout counters with cardboard boxes a fender cover, and bungee cords to distance the customer from the checker. They had bright x's on the floor for distance reference. I bought some tools for the tool kit in the boat. I really felt that I needed to be in a body rubber or something while I was shopping. But more people died locally yesterday by homicide than Corona, 1 in St Francis Cty, 1 in Piedmont near home, and one kid in Bollinger Cty. The world is a different place now. I could drive freely thru town, but it was raining.

Current River Marine said to sit it at 22" and give it a run. And go up from there. I have plenty of room to rise... -

It's light enough it should pop up. I think the motor still needs to go up some. Fishing it with a friend on Sunday, it will be at it's average weight so I can tweak it. See what I need then. Who sells the whale tail for a jet? I have seen a couple but never used one. -
Bees can't sting thru them... I slip them on every time I work bees. Repels them and all of the juices that come out of the hives. I use the Edgewaters, all neoprene, no extra insulation. But still warm.

Why did they start naming boats in the first place. Its an ole Nautical tradition. My ole Tracker was called Fiddle Fart, because we spent more time messing with the boat than fishing most of the time. I almost named my new bass boat Victory, but that failed and the cancer came back. We have names for all of my buddies boats. Yeller boat, blue boat. He has two Panfish special with jet on them, just simply, big boat or little boat. We sail thru the harbors on Pickwick Lake looking at all of the big boats, the names and other stuff. Most sit there in the slips and gather dust. I try to keep mine rinsed off. -

Got her home this afternoon. Installed gas tank, put on a pair of new 6 ply tires with white rims. Put some reflective tape on the side stakes. And gave her the name. Thanks Mitch, we still need that fishing trip. The name was fitting, its my get away from the crowd boat. And she was born in a time that needs to be remembered. BTW, happy anniversary to me, 3 years out now and still cancer free. This is my celebration. -

The trailer still needs work on the bunks, but have to get it out on the water to see what I really need. I slid it forward about 2 foot on the tongue and it balances much better. -

I have watched her race in Evansville at Thunder on the Ohio. Saw her go by on I:55 many times while she was being moved around. -

Mount ready for the jet to sit on it. Wires run for the trolling motor. Gonna sit the motor tomorrow and run it this weekend to tune height. Then cap it off with aluminum. Must be getting color blind, Camo Sand by Krylon not quite the match on the boat color. But, this is really the first chance I have saw it dry and in daylight in the last few weeks. -

Rear tines are great on loose soil. But don't try to break hard clay with them. -
Probably sell them to grocery stores to help the food crisis

That was a lot of copy and paste
