  1. Posting this for a buddy. If interested, please text or call the number listed below. Selling a 1852 Blazer Sport jet boat. This one is not your normal jet boat. This one I have set up for tournament fishing the rivers. It has a 115 hp direct injection TILLER handle for creating more space in the boat to fish. Motor has 175 hours on it. The trolling motor is a Minn Kota Maxxum 74lbs thrust motor. All 3 batteries in the boat are new and they are group 31 fish hunters by Ellis Battery. Boat has a dual bank charging system in front the plugs straight into the outlet on the boat. Perforated floor, whale tail that makes a huge difference getting on plane quickly, tie down ratchet straps, and more. Boat was just recarpeted last year by a professional where the boat was purchased. The boat has sat inside its entire life, or has been under a tarp. You just simply won't find a nicer boat. Come see it and you'll understand. There is not a single thing that you need to do to the boat. It will perform flawlessly. If you are looking for a shallow running fishing boat...you WILL NOT beat this one. Has an upgraded livewell with an aerator...this livewell is 2.5 times bigger than a normal Blazer livewell. Also has a built in insulated cooler under drivers side seat. I love the boat and am looking to upgrade. 2002 Boat and Trailer 2004 Evinrude Direct Injection Motor Never a single issue with anything! Asking $9500. (573) 692-3621. Ask for Derrick
  2. We watched a 20"+ smallie chase a sunfish that one of us had hooked all the way to the boat. As luck would have it, the sunfish popped off just as the big smallie was about to chomp it. This was on the Gasconade a few years ago.

  4. It only takes a few to make a good meal when they are that nice.
  5. He said he caught it on a SK Pure Poison while bass fishing.
  6. I think somebody has a crush on Hog Wally! He just kind of stalks the forum waiting for him to make a post so he can throw in a snarky comment.
  7. When Tablerock is on, you won't catch a better stringer of crappie anywhere else in MO! It produces some good ones!
  8. I went with mostly guys who didn't have a high percentage of ownership. I wish I could play it safer, but I screwed the pooch in that first tourney, but luckily made up a lot of ground in the second one. Hopefully I'll do the same this time around.
  9. People complain if your electronics are too good, your boat cost too much, you throw an A-rig, etc, etc. Somehow, they get it in their head that these are all magic fixes for those that can't catch fish. If that were the case, anybody should be able to go out with these tools and wack a 20# sack every time, right? That's far from the case. If you don't know how to find and catch fish in the first place, these aren't going to magically fix your problem. They may make the job easier for those that already have a clue though. Fish with whatever is legal and have fun. A lot of people get offended and cry when it comes to fishing simply because they suck at it more so than others.
  10. I bought one off Amazon. Seems like it was around $15-20. They have matching shirts too, but they were like $75 so I passed on the shirt and got some cheaper ones elsewhere. It's nice not having to mess with sunscreen anymore because I despise that oily feeling mess that it gives you. I still keep a little bit on hand for the tip of my nose though since it still gets a little bit of exposure to the sun.
  11. The $5k price is for one WITHOUT a transducer. The $5700 package includes the 3d transducer. I guess they figured if you were buying one, you may as well be able to buy one without the transducer to right next to it for mapping.
  12. At that point, I'd probably just buy the Great Plains chip. It's $102 on Amazon right now. You'll have the current data for every lake in MO plus several surrounding states.
  13. If you just need one for TRL, you can buy it for $30 off the Lakemaster Chart Select site. That's what I did since I only needed one for LoZ and TRL.
  14. Walker Deeper Divers and Dipsy Divers. You can accomplish the same thing with 3# of lead too.
  15. I took three newbies snagging yesterday on LoZ. They ended up landing five fish between 25-67#. It was a bit disappointing that we didn't catch more considering how many fish I was marking. They became more and more scattered as they day went on.
  16. There is a reason they spider rig so much. It's arguably the most effective overall method of catching crappie regardless of the body of water you are on. LoZ is the perfect lake for a one poler though. I'd hate to spider rig it when it is so easy to actually put fish in the boat and feel the "thump".
  17. I'm with you on that thinking during this time of year. In the summertime, you can catch them just about anywhere trolling cranks, but you are covering a lot more water than spider rigging. If I was setup for spider rigging, I would be find some shallow mud flats that have shad on them and that aren't too far from spawning pockets. That's the only time I have seen spider riggers do well up there. I'd much rather go find some brush or docks with fish and actually feel the thump and load up the livewell that way.
  18. Oh yeah. I didn't even think about the no A-rig deal. That makes that 30# even more impressive!
  19. Sounds like you should have fished the OMTT tourney. You would have been right there around second place with Marcus Sykora. First place was 30 and change.
  20. Hopefully that's referring to the most people are one species anglers comment and not about me being an oddball.
  21. That's a good area. They can be anywhere in the faster stuff during the summer months. I never catch anything over 2# there, but I did catch my second biggest smallmouth ever just down stream from that bridge. It came up out of a big log pile that hard telling how many anglers fished that day and sucked in my trick worm. It was a wonder I ever got that fish. Luckily I was able to get it up over the log and then it ran out in to the middle of the river.
  22. Exactly!
  23. As majestic as they seem, they really aren't any different than the stocker rainbows that you catch at Taneycomo or a trout park aside from appearanc e and the size difference. They don't reproduce naturally in any of the reservoirs, or at least not in any sizable numbers, so they are raised in a hatchery and stocked. If you were up in Montana and the dakotas where they run up the Missouri, then you are probably catching native fish. I could be wrong on that though. I'd imagine they would naturally spawn up there since it's a free flowing river.
