    What's for Thanksgiving?

Brisket done in the oven with apple cider, then on the grill with a honey/soy sauce glaze for a bit to get the outside right. Sliced this up and delivered it and some sides to relatives and friends yesterday. Roasted turkey breast, cornbread dressing, corn casserole, mashed taters and gravy today. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We sure had a nice one here.
  3. The smile says it all. Congrats to both of you!
  4. My daughter is a special ed teacher and is off for a few days. I'll see if she can get you on a Zoom meeting
  5. My thoughts exactly when it comes to bird hunting too. It's always more about the time out, scouting, dogs working, etc. And a good retrieve is nice too.
  6. Spelling protocol? What the hell is that? It's simply a mizzpelling

    Slow!

Runza is a trademarked name for a bierock used by a restaurant chain based in NE. Made up by the founder of the restaurant. I first had a bierock in college on the late 70s made by a Mennonite woman from western KS. We also used to get them made by church ladies when we were out west for the pheasant openers. It’s generally seasoned beef, cabbage and onion inside a buttery dough pocket. They’re pretty common in KS and becoming more so. We’ve got a Runza restaurant in Lawrence. I drover over a few nights ago just for Runzas. They do a great job for a chain. Free State Brewery, also in Lawrence, has them on their menu occasionally. They do an excellent job too. ness 2.3 wants me to make some. Haven’t done that in a while.

    What's for Thanksgiving?

Made the decision to cancel the already toned-down get together for Thursday. Too many 20-somethings in contact with too many other 20-somethings in our family. We're going to do a brisket, a couple sides and a couple pies and make deliveries to folks on Wednesday. Then either a Zoom or at least a conference call on turkey day. For ourselves, we bought a smallish turkey breast that I'll roast and do some mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing, corn casserole etc. The traditional stuff that's largely a nod to parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles that are no longer with us.
  11. I didn’t look it up, but I believe the 12 has three cameras and the third is more telephoto.

  14. I think you could improve that joke slightly by calling it an 'udder' failure. Joke works better verbally. I only say this because you told me once I'm wittier than you. And, I just want to help
  15. I'm a big Lightroom fan. I only use it for basic adjustments since I get it right in the camera 99.9% of the time . It also has great hierarchical keywording to help keep things in order and easy to find. They added face recognition recently too.
  16. I've never heard of them. Zoodles? Compost?
  17. Les told me to tell you to post the recipe :D
  18. It’ll be almost ready in about 7 hours 😄
  19. Smells great!
  20. Got some on the stove right now. Bones and veggies roasted first
