  1. I had no problem JMO and the highway patrol came to my house to verify. All my ducks were in a row. I know it doesn't go this smooth for everyone.
  2. Congrats to you and yours.
  3. Congrats to you and yours Mike.
  4. Lets see here, Tell this to Pat, @jdmidwest, @MOPanfisher and numerous others here and all over the world. You go to the doctor because something is wrong or being checked early for a diagnosis and treatment. If it wasn't for Pat doing her annual Maintenace I call it I wound be able to wake up to her each morning and telling her I love her. Yes we are all a ticking timebomb and when our time is up it's up. Some things cannot be cured. Our previous lifestyle and how we have treated our bodies over time have an effect on our future.
  5. Wadda ya got, how much, what caliber, no printed ghost parts either! In all seriousness I would say you would have to go through a firearms dealer and pay him to run the check. I know I bought a couple of shotguns from my brother who lived in Omaha and since he was out of state, he had to do just that. Had a friend in Eldorado springs who ran a gun shop so no biggie and did it for free. The next time we just well yea we did another route.
  6. Good discussion let's keep it this way please. It only takes one person to make it go away. The new law if it becomes law will cause a slippery slope to start more measures. I do think we are all in agreement this problem is all a mental thing. It takes a real mental problem to take a life.
  7. Get you some of those Ensure shakes or the Equate equivalent.
  8. Best attitude ever. I remember when I was at the learning stage and had folks waiting on me for one reason or another. Especially learning to back down long steep ramps. As far as piddling with equipment blocking the way it is aggravating but some people are just slow and it may happen to me again with age. Back to the backing deal. I have seen people get really upset fighting that process. I have many times asked if I could help. Sure please, sometimes just telling them to not oversteer to the point I have been asked to get behind the wheel to help. Remember we were once there ourselves.
  9. The fish hive still has room to build. I peeked in it and there is wax drawn fully and partially on ten of the fourteen frames. I think it was a heat related deal as had two others like that similar. Yesterday was less humidity and all hives back to normal. Last two hives I built have twenty frames and will be in partial shade towards back of the house. I know small hive beetles like shady hives so I will be vigilant keeping a close eye on those. On another note, as you are doing, I gifted a friend a third Lang hive to a new bee keeper. The other two I gave him are doing great. I have two more to share and the guy is supposed to get them soon I hope. All I ask of the guys is to replace my boxes if they keep them and replace my frames. Equipment is like everything else getting expensive.
  10. We sometimes use weedkiller. Pat has been planting flowers around the hives pimping out the yard I tell her, she was trying to be careful around the flowers. Our weed eater is electric and usually no problem with using it. Guess they were cranky? Pat says all her fault that day and is not mad at the bees at all.
  11. Bearding here too JD. Today was better the three days before today really thick outside.
  12. Another pretty good swarm caught here at home. Not sure where it came from just showed up but not from one of our hives. I am thinking with the hives we have we are a bee magnet. This swarm trap is where I put them and then taken five miles from here to simmer. This weekend will be bringing them home and introduce to a new home. VID_20220607_115124797.mp4
  13. No Douglas I didn't but after her second stunt I thought she needed some sense knocked into her. She got blasted again. She decided to weed eat around the hives. I said you shouldn't. Next thing I know she did behind all hives. Then proceeded to the fronts. I was out there and said no. Oh I'll watch close. About that time she got tagged. Then she put on her bee suit and finishes surrounded by a bee tornado. Ended up getting a steroid dose pack and the doctor wrote her a script for an EpiPen. Just in case. She isn't a bad kid just sometimes a dumb kid. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Above right eye but both went to slits for a day.

  15. Yep purple bird poop. I have one tall tree in the yard. Racoons are in and under it every night. Purple seedy coon poop all over the place too.
  16. You should feel right at home with that bear in the loft!
  17. Bingo! Tasty when ripe and full of little bugs hard to see but I ate many bugs on them as a kid and I still eat a few. They come in a white when ripe variety too. All wildlife like them.
  18. Was introduced to him while out working on a couple jobs. He lived across from where Fram was for some time also didn't he?
  19. Hey Rick, @Terrierman is that Butch Best with you in second photo?

  22. Always liked them! My try at a you tube video years back thank you Seals and Croft
  23. As long as we encroach on them, we are part of their potential diet. There was a show on years ago called when animals attack. Cougars would go for joggers and bikers waiting on trails.
