  1. I was just a snot nosed kid back then. Closest fishing was Santee lakes and my folks would drop me off for the day or I relied on older friends with a drivers license. Camped some with parents and fished Henshaw. The fires heck yes. I remember from our yard since EL Cajon means box canyon watching the hill sides on fire dang near every year. We would get falling ash and leaves that had turned to ash drifting down.
  2. I got a deal here. This air compressor is 20 years old and still going strong. i needed more room in my shop and downsized. Always stored and used inside the shop. Never been run outside. Gauge is exact reading it was when I unplugged it from outlet and disconnected the hose. Has a pet cock to drain water from tank. I neglect this because it is hard for me to get down and drain it. There is some rusty water that is in there but tank is solid. I can get better pics if wanted. Thanks for looking first 50 bucks gets it. Tank is big and will run air tools along time until it kicks back on.
  3. Welcome to the Forum Michael, Spent the first 16 .5 years of my life in El Cajon until my parents got smart and moved to South West Missouri. Nice pic you posted!
  4. That is what I figured Dutch but wanted to check. I see it as the saying like " a pig in a poke".

    What's Cooking?

I get it Randy, Not that I have many tricks but am sure you all get bored of seeing us here in BilletHeadVille eating the same thing. There are many things we like and do eat monthly. Or even more frequently.
  6. Tucker bag, tote sack, gunny sack Pok is a new on to me. Have to add that to my vocabulary . Is that the correct way to spell that term?
  7. Your taste buds must be burnt out. Must be the same thing that protected you from getting the corona. Whiskey and nicotine
  8. Casting has nothing at all to do with this being a great video. It is flat arse a fun video. Have you ever seen some of the original Howard Hill hunting and stunt movies? Some of the early Fred Bear ones? Classic fun stuff.
  9. Hey cool deal buddy! Fresh lettuce salad for dinner tonight. Did slip in some smoked mallard breast sliced thin.
  10. Most excellent @LittleRedFisherman. Some of us got the scoop early. Sorry about the rain keeping you out of the field but not sorry for the trip report.
  11. I kind of like them too until you wear them slick on the tread. Then walk through the wet grass into the concrete shop floor and bust your arse then crash and burn. Then I hate them. Other horror stories also. Kind of what @fishinwrench thinks of flip flops. Still I find myself slipping them on for convenience.
  12. Thank goodness for that confession. I was beginning to think you and @fishinwrench had something going All those late night conversations and who knows what else.
  13. No brains for me but Grandma Margot liked them. Head shots are the way to go, instant death.
  14. Just one now and again fresh while I work on last years bunch from my self imposed challenge.
  15. I had to see if the air rifle was still spot on. It was and hit just where I was aiming. Young ones are out and about and I wanted a snack to go with my mid morning Dr. Pepper zero. Did this little guy spread eagle. My favorite way of cooking the youngsters, ribs snapped and flattened with a hot bacon press. Some goose fat got it sizzling. The fix I needed
  16. Will keep you in the loop incase Michael decides not to. It is a nice pair complete. Just want to make someone a good deal and get them out of my way.
  17. Groundhog that has been tearing up things. He stopped in the wrong place.
