  1. I have heard the same thing about bobcat. I have had some cat sets for a few but pulled them. Will get them back out soon. I will be trying bobcat if I get one. If I knew what I know now way back when I was trapping bobcat I would have been feasting.

    What's Cooking?

Bingo, Top of the line in cheap too crazy expensive stuff is the chicken wing.
  4. Birds of a feather? 🤣😆 In jest of course.
  5. I have used Madison river also. To go along with what Glen said I have not used Marriott's but have used The Fly shop out there. Grat service and can get the stuff faster than F-C for sure.
  6. Tru dat Pete, But there is nothing like picking out your own material. Bucktail is the first thing that comes to mind. I will just miss that shop. We go way back. I do mail order though.
  7. Went by plateau fly shop a little while ago. It's s been ravaged 😃. Found some stuff , spent a hundred bucks. That deal started Wednesday like in two days ago. Guy checking out said it was packed. I believe it. Sad to see it go. Guy said what does not sell will be thrown away. I did take two of my pictures off the wall. I didn't want to be thrown into the trash 🤣.
  8. Does not look like it. We have used that shop for years. Changed hands many times. No one seems to make it work. Really a bummer. Each of our second sets of Simms waders were bought there with a good deal. Still dropped many bucks over all those years.
  9. Double dang Eric!

  12. Loosing the shop in Springfield also. Bummer.
  13. Pat also checked on ours yesterday as we did the same. It's a go Rick!
  14. This ought to be a good class. Doug and I go way back. He was one of my earlier participants at Reel Recovery. Still get to see him once and awhile tying at the Tri Lakes Flyfishing Expo. Then Mike and doing his deer hair work awesome!
  15. That place is cool. Been there done that also.
  16. It can be a scary place when the river is up. This was the scene of what we were involved with.
  17. How neat! Good to see you again Eric. Good share thanks.
  18. No but will add it to the list. thanks Dutch.
  19. Yea I have shared that on here before. Somebody did something stupid above a low head dam during a high-water event. We were in a boat fishing below. Tried a rescue without us becoming victims. Too late for that but we did recover the body. I will share that someday we are together.
  20. Man, I like this kind of stuff. Thanks Jeff! There is so much stuff right under our feet hidden in the soil. Shifting river banks, gravel bars and sand bars is the easiest places to find treasures. Treasures can come in many forms depending on the hunter of such things. One of the closest places to you Jeff is the Arkansas river in Oklahoma. I have a couple of friends that used to walk the river when low looking for points and old bones. Mastodon and Mammoth teeth, Bison caps (skull tops with horns) and of course points (projectile points) were the goal. Big flood events shift the banks and bars expose the stuff and low water events bring out the people looking. The first ones on the spots reap the best stuff. just like the point hunting Pat and I used to do all the time. It becomes popular and it doesn't matter there will always be footprints to be found no matter how quickly you get there :). Florida is a real hotspot for looking but diving is involved.
  21. Pat and I have pulled a body out of the water at caplinger mills. I don't want to go that way.
  22. Yea!
  23. Great report Daryk! Good people, good food and good fishing. Doesn't get much better. Will see you all at Taney fest.
