It will be here this Saturday morning. Shot these this morning for your viewing pleasure. It got my heart pounding a bit. BilletHead

looks good Scott. I just had chicken fried goose with mashed potatoes and goose gravy! BilletHead

Njadar, Jars boiled and lids heated. Sauce mix boiling when ladled into hot jars. All of the ingredients out of sealed containers before heating. When opening the jar out of the pantry store unused portion in fridge. Before making this batch we just opened a jar we did last November. Was as good as the day we had sealed the jar that winter day. Gavin look for a PM BilletHead

Well done Scott! you too Duane. While running around looking at ponds yesterday morning we did see a group of six teal. Hopefully more will show up this week. BilletHead

Went out the last couple of mornings trying our dove hunting luck. Not much with no crops cut. Did find a few in a weed lot that had been brush hogged. Three for me yesterday with no shots for the bride. This morning she got three and I one. Some neat photos to share. Big weather difference between yesterday morning where it was pretty warm and humid early and this morning a cool 60 degrees and some fog blankets, BilletHead

Like that smile on that youngster! BilletHead

The only way to figure this one out is through the taste test. Problem is I lost your address, accidentally deleted all messages

Oh yea more hidden talent showing up. Well done young apprentice! hahahaha The possibilities in paint schemes a guy can come up with are endless. The plain cork on the top photo fades from top to bottom nice and the diver/slider that green really pops under the epoxy. Give us more Mr. Ness. I have not messed with any lately. Have too many distractions going on right now. Great job friend, BilletHead

I know this batch was pixwel ness. Got them picked in the green stage just before they start turning purpleish and more ripe.I know in our new patch we have at least one pixwel and really don't know what the other bushes are. I bet they would be great with strawberries. Thom1as these are tame bushes, well manicured and mowed around. A bit less tickles than the wild ones in the timber. Gives a good excuse for a good tick check though! BilletHead

All the bbq sauce jars pinged and sealed so it is time to start Jammin! Here we go the gooseberries out of the freezer, Berries with pectin getting happy, Added the sugar to the mix, now were happy, happy, happy! Short stuff stirring, stirring, stirring while bringing to a boil. Notice the stool for elevation? Time to ladle the goodness into the jars, Got them filled, Enough left for warm sampling on bread and butter. This was a double batch of jam = a gallon of gooseberries. BilletHead

Ok Scott, Next time you make a run to Rogers pick me up one of those carts. It will save me shipping as you deliver on your way back home. Meet you in town as you go by, pay you for the cart and send you on your way with sauce and a bonus of goose berry jam. BilletHead

2 Anglers - One Livewell Not Divided
BilletHead replied to BredMan's topic in General Angling Discussion
I think you just got lucky. Cheap too. When two are fishing out of my boat I use shower curtain rings for one guy. For more than two I suppose you could spray paint a set to get another color. Does a good job if you keep fish to eat too. Nice to have that ring to grab to separate the catches, BilletHead -
Hot outside so we decided to make a double batch of sauce. We will start off with blurred ingredients. Ok getting everything ready, sterile and cooking begins, Fully cooked and heated. Time to ladle into hot jars, Happiness is hearing the jar lids pinging. Soon to follow gooseberry jam, next post! BilletHead

Reeling & Healing Midwest Programs That Heal
BilletHead replied to Phil Lilley's topic in General Angling Discussion
Mrs. BilletHead and I will be involved helping on this program. Spread the word please, BilletHead -
See there we can all have a good discussion without getting our panties in a wad. I know one thing though. With all of the lists of the elite. I feel real good about my little old yeti. Like Bird Watcher said you all have a safe and fun holiday weekend. Think about the working man of woman. The one who serves you your big mac, the one who built your house, etc. as you enjoy the weekend! BilletHead

Just thinking outside the box Ness. Hate to not use them someway. Reckon I could put some figs in the smoker? BilletHead
-
Pretty good quill, Smoked peppers in soft tacos last night and put some on grilled cheese sandwiches this evening. At this rate there won't be any to freeze for the winter. I smoked some coarse salt today. What could be better than smoked salt? BilletHead
-
Pretty neat Scott. It even has a waist strap for hands free pulling. Would not need a harness when hitching up the mule! Another thing that worries me about it. Would it put me farther up the elite list? Not sure if I want to climb any farther up that ladder, BilletHead
-
Ok Ronnie I'll give you your points back.
-
All I can say is your the man Kayser, I was once young and tough. Will the before mentioned decoy carts break down for transport in a vehicle? One thing though, You can't borrow the mule! BilletHead
-
Ronnie I think she thought you might be on her side but the implications of the wife mule thing in the same sentence gets you zero points and maybe me a few more points. Bird Watcher would an a person with a dedicated enclosed trailer for goose hunting qualify? Oh yea I have seen such person duck hunt fields out of the same trailer. BilletHRead
