  6. We are not going to live forever and something will get us sooner than later. You know you do not go to the doctor to find trouble. You go when you get into trouble. I seen cancer take my father and my best fishing buddy and friend. If it wasn't for treatment and the grace of God Pat would not be here. Not too many years ago it was a death sentence when you got breast cancer. We are not bulletproof and the older I get the more I know it. Lead poisoning like Mercury poisoning is real. You would need to ingest a bunch I am sure. I was not happy when they took lead shot from the waterfowl hunters. It was proved that waterfowl were ingesting and dying from lead in marshes thinking it was seeds. Then it effected predatory birds that fed on ducks. Lead paint effected children that did not know better than to chew on the wood that had been painted and got sick. I will continue eat fish but not live on it. Moderation and variety on anything in life is important, BilletHead
  7. You won't like the test. Blood and urine plus other stuff involved. Probably find other things you have succumbed yourself to . An Arrest could be involved. They may even want to probe you! https://healthyliving.azcentral.com/how-to-test-for-mercury-poisoning-12227526.html BilletHead
  8. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/320563.php When I was a kid I found some and played with it. Back in the 60s. After my dad passed I went through some stuff over at the house. Found a large old brown medicine bottle of mercury. Probably weighed a couple pounds. Found a number and contacted hazardous waste government sight. They came out and got it, BilletHead

That will change in the next couple of days as the peeping will stop with the weather going back to normal. Like JD my bees are out looking around. 23. We like to sleep cool. There is a mattress warmer under us and an electric blanket on top. Hard to describe but get a really good nights sleep. The first night in the spring when it gets in the mid seventies and humid I am done and inside for the summer with the AC. When it gets below fifteen I have to put on a stocking hat. We have done single digit nights. Look out the screen and see the stars, awaken to coyotes singing, owls hooting. for blowing rain we drop a faux bamboo shades. For a dry fine snow you can feel it. Our old dog Sadie sleeps on her bed and Pat covers her. She stays under the covers all night. We have put her into the house a few times because of the rain and bitter cold. She cries when we do that. The dog not Pat . We have been told we are nuts, crazy and stupid. I say try it once before you say that. BilletHead
  24. I will let her sleep on the porch tonight, oh that's right we sleep on the screened in porch all winter. Guess maybe I need to figure out something extra special , BilletHead
  25. You have heard of goldens, Labradors in chocolate and black and others but I have one of those gray retrievers. She came with a pretty poor background but easy to train. Started out hard headed but has mellowed with age. I even caught her in action this morning. She even ran down a cripple. Does not like it when she cannot touch the bottom so it was a dry land circle around the pond to the other side to avoid the deep water . Always alert, good set of eyes and can mark multiple downed birds. She sees birds in the air before I do and tells me where they are! She will get an extra biscuit tonight too. A wonderful sunrise greeted the day, Not a bad when we decided to call it quits with 7 mallards 6 drakes and one hen. Three gadwall finished up the pile. No excuse we should of had our other mallard. Mrs. BilletHead breaking down the blinds. She did a good job grassing them up as I felt the most hidden we have been this season. Duck it's what's for dinner, BilletHead
