I agree with you. More definitely with bait. Everyone needs their desired sport. We are now regulated to death and do not need anymore. Be thankful for what we now have. We are the most fortunate peoples in the world, we have choice. If you don't like it here you have the choice to leave. Do so gripers and you have the green light from the BilletHead. I think carp fishing is better in Europe and some should migrate there, BilletHead

Is everyone on a diet or something? Ness are you refinishing your deck before you post any more meals? Black trumpet - crusted walleye with roasted almonds and lemon vinaigrette, Not only is the crust shroomy the fish is on a base of black trumpets and almonds cooked in butter Took a tip from RPS and cooked some orzo for the new batch of pesto we made this morning. Added some diced homegrown tomatoes and sliced green onions to that orzo/pesto mix. Fish was started in grapeseed oil on stovetop then the crust slathered on the top and finished under the broiler. Tip even setting it under the broiler for two minutes watch it close. Glad I checked early it browned up pretty quick, BilletHead

33 minutes ago, MoCarp said: I don't pull my opinions out of my arse...its taking me a life time of experience to come to these conclusions It has taken him a lifetime of experience of surfing the internet for everything negative he can find. # negative Nellie # Pessimist and nothing to do with experience in the outdoors. Get healthy and out of the house MoCarp and see how lucky we have things here. If you are not happy move to Europe and fish for carp, BilletHead

Twist the original pot to try to crawl out of the hole you dug and fell into. Think before you shoot off your mouth is a good thing we all need to adhere to. One of these days your hol may be deep enough there will be too much dirt falling in and you cant get back out, BilletHead

Ultimate beef burger day (Picture heavy), Wouldn't want to split this post up and be accused of padding the tally. Started off the day with a three mile walk down the dirt road which took some time. Everyone driving down the road wanted to talk. Country life and everyone knows everyone. In the city you would get wizzed by folks who are way too busy. Gave the old dog Sadie a chance to rest as she is getting older and slower. Finally got home and loaded up to hit the sweet corn patch for picking. Another benefit of friends in the country. We give to each other, help, food, produce it is the best. There is noting we would not do for each other. Don't have to ask it just happens. And now I present the original "Corn Dog" they pick and eat too Got home and prepared Korean spicy slaw. Shredded Napa cabbage, red cabbage, carrot, and red bell pepper. The dressing part seasoned rice vinegar, gochujang (Korean chili paste), grapeseed oil, garlic, ginger and soy sauce, Then time to prepare burger meat. We used 6 oz. boneless beef short rib, 1/2 lb. Brisket and 1 1/2 lbs. Beef chuck. Chunk it all up and grind then mix, Grill 4 minutes per side over charcoal and white oak splits, Yes it will be and is very pink and juicy inside. Not worried it went through my grinder and not through some other processing plant. We were rewarded with a meal fit for kings and queens of which we are over BilletHeadVille. We are blessed, Sliced tomatoes from the garden, Hawaiian bun , BilletHead

No I wasn't . It is wishing you the best hoping for short fences! You know what I hate? The tall fences where the bottom strand is so close to the ground my belly or back snags depending on how I slither underneath it. My favorite is the loose ones I can go through at the perfect height or the high bottom strand where I can roll under. Actually I like free range fences meaning none at all and that brings us back full circle to native plants, animals and FISH , BilletHead

I know but they are not invasive . One thing is for certain if you are careful in life you can straddle the barbed wire fence but one mistake and you could be hurting. Man I think I have another signature line ! Thanks John, BilletHead P.S. may your fences be short or hope you have long legs 🤣

I know it is sure dry here in BilletHeadVille, Watering some plants by IV fluids, Works super good and no run off as slow as it goes. I know one thing if Lancer is having to carry water to his truck garden I bet he is skinny and down to fighting weight : ) Trying something else. Since the cucumbers are coming in pretty regularly we can only eat so many fresh and giving a few out too. Fired up the dehydrator and sliced some up and pitched them in there plain. They are actually pretty good little chips. Shrink to about nothing but I think worth the trouble. Then I looked up how to on the subject. A lot of info out there and seasonings for them too. Can dry and grind to a powder for adding to soups etc. This morning I sliced some on an angle so they would be bigger and slipped them into some cider vinegar. When done put into a colander to drain. Onto dehydrating trays then a light salt. Into the dehydrator. Every once an awhile I go by and pluck one out. All I can say is I hope there is one or two left when Mrs. BilletHead gets home , Tomatoes are coming in a bit better now. So lush besides tomatoes hiding while peering looking at them I found a worm that had bored in and out of one. Not your standard tomato worm. Not sure what he was but dead now. BLT's for dinner tonight! (without worm), BilletHead
