First white caught in sac today!
BilletHead replied to Stacy Jordan's topic in General Angling Discussion
Good job Stacy. Are you fishing from the bank or boat? Water clearing up any? BilletHead -
I agree and don't want to feel the earthquake in BilletHeadVille when you fall through. I would on the other hand still trust you with my boat(s). BilletHead
-
Please don't let us know how that works out for you when you start passing gas, BilletHead
-
The thanks I gave you was from your wife.' BilletHead

# carp stealth technology Get yours today. Hide from others who will clean out your hot carp spot and be able to sneak up on the fish and chum without being seen. Yes and hide from the zombies who dine on carp fishermen's brains instead of the good eating and good for you carp ! BilletHead

You are good at making friends, lots of friends. So in prison you can make some more. Just don't drop the soap. Personally I am glad you made the right choice, BilletHead

Hope Miss Griz doesn't use the shotgun. I figure your tomatoes will be ripe when you are in Alaska BilletHead
-
Good grief! I have caught them still spawning on the last of May my birthday. If I started my tomatoes as early as Ness they would be four foot tall and producing fruit already before planting. If mine freeze I will just raid the gardens in Nessberg and Grizvegas, BilletHead

More garden straightening up, I had some horseradish that got started in the wrong place. A few short years back I started some in one of our tubs. The roots grew out the bottom holes and into the ground. Broke some off when I dug the roots out of the tub. Fast forward to last season. The crazy things got big dwarfing the tubs and shading what i was growing in them, I dug one up last year and made fresh horseradish. So today I got to try to eradicate them. They are invasive and i will have more to take care of. I could spray but think I will let them go a few more years until they become a pain again. I washed what I got out. Will take some and process and the other will go someplace else in the yard, BilletHead

Have fun Seth and yes please report. Make some good videos too! BilletHead

Oh boy here we go again! Harry, First of all bowfishing is fun. I gave it up because I had to. If I could I would start again just to aggregate you some by posting pictures . Actually wouldn't want those nasty things in my boat all shot up. So lets see here. Second that kid that shot the bass. There is no way that is six pounds. If it is you may want to get your eyes checked, I am kind of worried about your eyesight. Third Some bucket biologist not knowing what he was doing introduced Black Bass to Africa just like some not so smart people did carp to the states. I suppose Black bass will become naturalized to Africa and that will make it OK? https://flafsstudentsubunit.wordpress.com/2016/12/01/black-bass-in-africa/ Do you really think that if common carp were not introduced years ago and the dilemma came up now we would let this happen? Of course not. It has been so nice you have backed off a bit. Take it back I am not so worried about you. You must be feeling better as lets say what would you call it? You are getting salty again . Tied a couple more this morning after trying them out Monday at a pond, Landed three, three more came unbuttoned and then snapped one off on the hook set. It swam off with one of the first ones I tied up. They work and look good in the water. The stinkin bass landed were not too big but felt good after the long winter. I need to tie up two more just because you get minnows by the dozen, BilletHead

Temple fork 5w and Harris reel found on dam.
BilletHead replied to Jeremy Rasnick's topic in Upper Lake Taneycomo
Good on you Jeremy, Thanks for doing that and the world would be a much better place with folks like you. Hope the owner finds this. TFO rods are a good stick. The BilletHead's have three of them. If this rods owner sent in registration he can get it replaced for 35 bucks. Accidents happen and I bet the owner is sick about it, I would be, BilletHead -
Would be neat but I would most likely slow you boys down! BilletHead

Looking forward to this trip and report. Photography, fishing, friendship and food. What could be better? BilletHead

HA! Only lost it during chemo. Now she has a nice head full. Turning a pretty gray color though and she says she earned every strand of it, BilletHead

First white caught in sac today!
BilletHead replied to Stacy Jordan's topic in General Angling Discussion
Yep pretty neat deal, I used to set up and knapp there for the first few years. I just go down and visit my extended knapping family on day each year. Perhaps we will run across one another some day there or on the river, BilletHead -

Hey Stacy, See you are from Hulston mills. You ever been down to partake of the primitive skills and knap in at the park in the Fall? BilletHead -
Mrs. BilletHead worked there in 1980 when she was pregnant with BilletHead Jr. Pretty funny thinking back she was as wide as she was tall. . Yes she knows I am posting this! BilletHead

First white caught in sac today!
BilletHead replied to Stacy Jordan's topic in General Angling Discussion
I was hoping that too but they have been running a bunch down there except for a couple days during the run off of those little streams. Bear creek, cedar creek and even tiny brush creek. I am so ready for more warm rains. It is coming soon! The last week of outflow from Stockton Dam and you can see the rain bump too, https://waterdata.usgs.gov/mo/nwis/uv?site_no=06919000 BilletHead -
Smalliebigs, Can you tell me where they are invasive and compete with your smallmouth in this state? Thanks, BilletHead

I give up! Blackberries have to go. I am tired of fighting the Japanese beetles. Yes I can spray them at the right time to help but that doesn't help the bee population. Once the berries ae formed and ripening the beetles are on them big time chowing down. Berries are hard to wash in all those little cracks. I talked with the extension agent for our county. She said unfortunately we have not even seen the peak of the infestation in our part of the country. She said once the peak happens and not sure what year it will be they will stabilize but we will always have them. I began to go crazy on the patch. I realize there will be roots take hold in the future and I will take care of them a they appear down the road. I had three rows about twelve foot long. There is one left and it has been trimmed now to two foot tall. BilletHead Jr. wants some to plant in his backyard in Springfield. He had better get them quick before I finish them up. When pulling I had canes that measured 13 foot long where I had trained them to go up and then back into the ground to producing a new plant. When I pulled some of these canes I yanked root systems up to 10 foot long. Some of these roots were as big around as a golf ball, I know what a waste. What do I replace here? i asked the extension agent. She said maybe blueberries. Generally they are harvested before the beetles make their outing but the beetles will still skeletonize the leaves thus you will still have to spray. I may replace with another gooseberry patch. So far knock on wood we have never had a problem yet with beetles on them , BilletHead
